Need help with getting Windows to use both cores of my Pentium D by
Chris
Hi everyone!
I never tried to fix this before, but Windows (XP Pro w/ SP2 & all updates)
only shows one core from my Pentium D 805.
I checked Task Manager and have One CPU per graph, but only shows one graph.
Also, CPU-Z has the Processor Selection drop down grayed out. I also know
that I am...

Pentium vs. Itanium by
***** charles
Hi all,
I have noticed that there is little/no posting on
Itanium and this is an Intel group. Now I
know that some/most of you probably think
the Itanium is dead/dying but I would still like
to know what is going on in the Itanium field.
If there is a more appropriate group to which
I should...

Phalos ahead. by

Its in planimetry.
I guess modern architectures infiltrated in products of Intel(tm),
may not be confirmed by the time.

Now that the Core 2 chips are out - any recent roadmaps? by
Comcast
The last Intel roadmap I saw didn't really explain what chips were coming
out - e.g. Core 2 3.2GHz - it was more of just internal code numbers e.g.
610.
Has anyone seen a recent roadmap with chip speeds, cache etc?

Core 2 trumps Athlon (all varieties) by
Judd
http://www.tomshardware.com/2006/07/14/core2_duo_knocks_out_athlon_64/page18.html
Even the lowest rated one beats the highest rated Athlon in almost all
tests. AMD will have to lower their prices over 50% to compete. How will
this affect their bottom line? AMD will catch up when they get their...

D810E2CB processor upgrade by
Danglerb
I have this old motherboard chugging along fine in a low power server
uning a 667 mhz Celeron, but I wouldn't mind a bit more speed or even
lower power if its not too difficult.
Intel says D810E2CB can use P3 or Celeron up to 1.1 ghz, and I found
one message that said something like any coppermine...
