Does Nero show burnproof acticvated? by normanstrong
After burning, does Nero announce the fact that burnproof had to actually be used to make the disc? I know it says that the program is ready, just in case, but I'd like to know if at any time during the burn it needed the feature. Thanks, Norm Strong

DVD to CD? by Eight too much
I have some instructional DVD's that are DVD9. I would like to copy them to CD without losing any of the menus or any of the "chapters". I have copied them to DVD5's using DVDShrink and burned them with Nero6. I would also like to be able to shrink and copy them to CD's. Is this possible?

Older vs. newer drive? Trying to rate these... by GTO69RA4
I have several CD-RW drives I'm sorting through right now. Best one will go in my main computer, the others will be used for backup or in clients systems. Currently I'm using a Yamaha CRW4260 SCSI 4x2x6 model. It's been reliable, but getting up in the years. Do newer ones (mostly IDE) have any...

I made a backup (single track, single session, dics left open). Basically copied a bunch of file trees from the hard disk onto the job layout planner and burned the CD. I used cygwins diff to verify that the files on disc were the same as those on the hard drive. During some periods of the...

After Burning with Nero, CD drive won't work until reboot by TommyDale
Anyone else seen this? Using Windows XP SP2, LiteOn LTR-52327S CDR and LiteOn SOHW-832S DVD-RW with all latest updates and firmware. Once the burned CD or DVD is done, that drive will be recognized correctly, but the disk in the drive will not load or be recognized until after rebooting.

PowerDisc CD-RW fake speed ? by Rubens
Hello I have bought a box of CD-RW media branded as PowerDisc and claiming writing speeds ranging from 4X to 12X, but all software utilities I have used say the maximum speed is 10X. The manufacturer is identified as Gigastorage, the same one present in Verbatim 74 minutes CD-RWs.
