which utility to make an ISO image directly from a CD? by
Winey
I'm looking for a one-click solution. I want to back up important
CD-Rs to tape.I usually do all my CD-related work with Nero 6, but I
can't seem to find a way to get Nero to simply make an ISO (or even
an nrg) of a CD.
The workaround is to "import" all the files from the CD, but that
could be...

I have a 1 to 7 CD duplicator that has all the same model of KHpermedia CD ROM
burners. But two burners don't work. The two are different serial number
series. And their firmware is different.
The duplicator support folks say I should flash/update the firmware of the two
different drives. Is this...

The drive can read pre-pressed CDs ( both audio and data) but it will not
read anything that is burnt on a CD-R. Also when I try to record on it the
drive seems to not recognize the media that is in there. Any software I use
keeps telling me to insert media. Any suggestions? Any clue will be of...

A DVD question by
[email protected]
I recently purchased a DVD disk with an instruction manual on it. I
realize that I could view the information on the DVD disk with my
computer if I had a DVD reader installed. My question is: Can such a
data DVD be viewed by a DVD player normally attached to a TV? I suspect
not, but I just...

It seems I get Blue Screen sometimes when accessing USB CD/DVD by
dg
I run Xp Pro, SP1 with all patches. I recentl rebuillt my system. The PC
was working great, no problems at all. The reason for the rebuild was
because I was changing hard drives (actually going to RAID 0 from a single
drive).
I moved my DVD-R and CD-R drives to an external USB 2.0 enclosure. ...

D. Lee
I want to back up the most important stuff on my PC's hard-drive to several
CD-R's. So I find this apparently convenient program simply called "Backup"
that must have come with the Windows 98 that I have on my PC. However,
whenever I try to specify the destination as being my 52X CD-R/RW drive, I...

Hi,
Anyone know what surface colour the PC World CDR's have printed on the top?
Is there a vibrant colour or are they white or silver?
Are they suitable for labelling in other words?

Nero Cover Designer by
Barry R
With a copied disk, I can't get Nero to automatically access the internet
(or internal) database which means I can't get Cover Designer to import the
album data. Is there any way around this. Sometimes I have a burned disk
that I didn't label and would like to be able to create an automatic label.

Does Nero CD-DVD Speed support CD-R discs? by
Allen Weiner
I downloaded Nero CD-DVD Speed Version 2.20 from www.cdspeed2000. It
functions normally for me for data CD-ROMS (e.g. Streets & Trips) and
for CD-RW discs. However it does not recognize previously written CD-R
discs. When run with a previously written CD-R disc, the "disc type"

Firewire vs. USB 2.0 Transfer Speed by
Walter Ego
I'm looking at some external DVD burners and some are connect by firewire
(which I have) and some are USB 2.0. Which would give me the fastest burning
speed? I understand they are about the same. The USB ones are slightly
cheaper.
