My son has an e-machine on which the dvd-rom/cd-rw crapped right after the 3 month warranty. (Which really has nothing to do with anything except I won't buy anymore e-machines. Well, actually, my wife bought it without consulting me.) I put in a new cd-rw and found it would not read some of my...

Cannot read CUE images (NExpress 5.5.9.9, BurnAtOnce 0.99.5) by Libor Striz
Hello, I Cannot read CUE images neither in NExpress 5.5.9.9 or BurnAtOnce 0.99.5. I have two times tried to burn downloaded CD images in CUE format ( cue, img, sub, ccd). I regularly use Nero Express 5.5.9.9, bundled with my CD-RW/DVD combo LG GCC 4480B. Last months I like BurnAtOnce too.

AOL discontinuing Newsgroup access ! by Sam Ormes
AOL has informed users that in early 2005 that service will stop access to Newsgroups. Bummer. Sure, I can get to Newsgroups using the new Google "Groups" feature or thru IE.....but the AOL format for Usenet is much easier to read and manage. Send AOL a nasty email if this bothers you too.

CDSpeed question by periphsCdr
I burned a CD-R (TaiyoYuden), burning a session, leaving the disk open, about half full. When I ran CD-Speed ScanDisc the last sector was Unreadable. However when I open the CD in Windows Explorer, I can copy all the files without problems. Should I reburn or is the CD-R OK?
