Heatsink advice by
[email protected]
Hi,
I am looking for a heatsink for an AMD socket AM2 that is as quiet as
possible (not a watercooler)
Up to 12cm high for my new HTPC under construction.
I found:
- Scythe Mini Ninja CPU Cooler
- Arctic Cooling Freezer 64
Can anyone advise me on a good heatsink?
Thanks

Ideal plastic tubing for water cooled computer? by
Thomas Reat
What type of plastic tubing might be suitable for use in a water
cooled computer? The highest priority is to prevent leaks. So tubing
that can't possibly split apart, can withstand heat, can be both
force-fit onto connectors and crimped on without damage. (or glued on
with glue that's made for this...

R9800NP - overclocking problem by
power_ranger
I overclocked my radeon to 321/363Mhz and it worked fine (no artefacts in
games) up till one day when I turned my pc on and saw black stripes going
from top to bottom of the screen. I rebooted the machine and everything is
fine again. I went back to the default values again in fear of...

Q6600 "safe" temps? by
~misfit~[_8_]
Hey,
I'm just OCing and stressing a new build for a mate. Asus P5K-Deluxe WiFi-AP
with a G0 Q6600 topped with a Thermaltake Big Typhoon. The case isn't the
best in the world for ventilation (Gigabyte 3D Aurora) but it's also not the
worst. 1 x 120mm in the front, 2 x 120mm in the back as well...

Mendicino. How fast? by
~misfit~
I've just started playing with a Celeron Mendicino 500MHz (7.5x) and have it
on an 83MHz FSB at 2.4vcore. I'm installing 98SE on it so haven't tested it
with Prime95 yet. I was just wondering, how fast are these CPUs known to go.
I have an AMD XP2500+ Barton HSF on it, one of the copper-bottom...

1.2 Tualitan- how many volts is too many? by
Uncle Vinnie
Last thread, I've now written off the Upgradware 370GU adapter for my Intel
D815EEA board. (Though it works great in my Compaq.)
I have taken the easy way out. As opposed to soldering, ala Lunchbox, I
ordered the LinLin adapter, which has a voltage range of 1.3 to 1.05, jumper
selectable.
Since...

Performance Acceleration Technology (P.A.T) by
Wayne Youngman
Hi,
just trying to get some *confirmation* about this tech. I understand that
it is meant to be a bonus feature of the Canterwood chipset that somehow
makes the memory work faster. What I wont to know now is whether this
feature only works when you run your FSB and memory bus *synchronously*...

Flaky P2B - suggestions requested by
P2B
One of my venerable P2B/Tualatin systems is misbehaving, and I'm at a
bit of a loss as to what to try next.
It's a P2B-S with a P3-S 1.4 on a Slot-T adapter and 512MB of Micron
PC133. Processor is running stock (1.4Ghz), mainboard overclocked to
133Mhz FSB, stock PCI clock. I was clocking it at...

VCore undervoltage... is it harmful? by
Dave
Depends on the CPU. Some AMDs with "Power Now" use voltage reduction to
reduce power consumption for mobile use. While the CPU is in reduced power
mode it also clocks down (underclocks). Check out your CPU speed with the
reduced voltage, you CPU clock could have dropped with the voltage drop.

Could this be overclocking??? by
David Maynard

Thanks Dave... the odd thing is that I have the problems when I have 2 of
the 133's! If I have a 256-133 in the first slot and a 128-100 in the 2nd,
all works fine! I don't like to mix but this configuration is working... I
was thinking of asking the company to replace...
