Defrag on a RAID 0 drive? by
Adrian
Does defragging a drive, which actually is a RAID 0 setup consisting
of two HDDs, work? I defragged last week my RAID 0 drive and
basically things got ugly after that - Windows files corrupted, BIOS
changed, etc.

Intel Board Lock Up problems by
GccTX
This is a Brand NEW Intel D845HV with a 400 FSB with a Celeron 1.7 (Also a
400 FSB)
During the Install for the O/S (Win XP, ME and 98) the system freezes and
has to be reset, do this 2 maybe 3 times and you finally get the O/S
Installed BUT it will run for about 3 - 4 minutes and Freeze up again...

FS2004, more memory bandwidth or more CPU horsepower ? by
Lorenzo Sandini
A short question about FSB, memory bandwidth and 3D game performance, in my
case FS2004.
For what it's worth, Sisoft sandra 2003 reports very high memory bandwidth
with a 200 MHz FSB (800 MHz, Pentium 4 "C" processors with a i875P chipset),
around 5000 MB/s, while with a 133 MHz FSB (533 MHz,...

D875PBZ and 800 MHz FSB - Catch 22? by
Shel
I was about to purchase a boxed D875PBZ and a boxed 2.80C P4. But I
found the following comment posted by a customer on a vendor's
website:
"The d875pbz doesnt work with 800Mhz fsb processors out of the box, it
requires a bios flash update to work correctly. If you dont have a
spare 533 fsb proc...

WinXP & D845pesvl by

How do they compare speed-wise? by
Evert Meulie esq.
Hi!
Just wondering...
I know a 400 Mhz Pentium III is faster than a 400 Mhz Celeron
processor, but where does the 400 Mhz PXA255 fit in the table?
Is it faster than a Celeron? Faster than a Pentium III?
Are there any comparison tables that include the Xscale processors?

From

only you can decide if the cost justifies the boost.
For that insignificant...

RAM Latency by
Shel
I am planning on a D875PBZ with a P4-2.80C and PC3200 ECC RAM.
Crucial's PC2700 sticks have CL=2.5, but its PC3200 sticks have CL=3.
Is this latency difference significant?
