Need a good pc builder by
Rick Williams
I'm sick of Dell and their not so hot tech help. And my 10 month old Dell
has been giving me problems for 6 months.
Can anyone recommend a really, really good and reputable pc builder. I'd
like to switch to AMD.
I will be very grateful for any referrals you can provide.
Rick

Routers and port control by
Jim
When I got my Netgear RT-314 you could assign ports to a specific local
IP. Tough luck if you have more than one computer you'd like to have
access to those ports.
Do the newer ones act the same way or might they allow ports to be open
to several?

New PC by
Davy
Am I missing something here..?
You are trying to get the computer working without the video card...
why not insert the Video card and then try...?
I just can't understand why you should want to do this unless there is
a problem with the video card inserted which you haven't mentioned.

Problems with SATA by
[email protected]
I had two 120Gb Maxtor SATA hdd set up in a mirrored array. The RAID is
done in hardware on the motherboard (Abit KV8 Pro).
The other night, during a disk-heavy operation (un-raring a large
archive) the PC slowed, and then locked up hard. When I hit the reset
button the RAID BIOS kicked in and...

Like your USB flash drive? by
John Doe
Anybody have a flash drive and don't like them? Somehow I doubt it.
I just received another, going from 256 MB to 1 GB (much faster, and
cheaper than the 256). I'm giddy. Yes there are larger sizes, but I
like to buy at the price/performance point.
Looks like the old annual prediction about DVD...

Computer on forever good? by
Mexplorer1906
How long can I keep the computer on before it melts down, frys down,
breaks down, runs out of memory, runs out of ram, etc.?
Is it good for the computer if I keep it on from this moment on until
I necessarily have to disconnect it from the wall? Is it better to
turn it off after every use?
