new mb (Sempron/GigaByte) by Flasherly[_2_]
Have had an inexpensive Gigabyte MB and AMD Sempron sitting around a year or so. Finally put the mem, cpu, and dvd to it -- and see in the (rudimentary) BIOS a provision for something along "turn on virtual" machines. In the MB book it says something basic about OS that support virtual machines. ...

any "reverse" usb hub/splitter? by anotherpaul
Does a reverse usb hub exist? i.e. 1 signal in, 2 places out. Or an usb splitter. The purpose is to have the trackball connected to a pc & mac mini so that the trackball need not be disconnected/connected as need arises. Found that the wireless don't do the job as the mac seem to trap all the...

Cat 5e Lan cable or Cat 6 lan cable? by Gabriel Knight[_10_]
Hi, I have a faster ADSL 2 connection now and wonder should I use a CAT 5e cable or the newer CAT 6 cable? Would there be much noticable difference in the CAT 6 cable? I have done a google search about the two only to find the noise ratio in the cat 6 is 12 times better but will it be faster? A...

No sound from center left speaker ?!? by Skybuck Flying[_7_]
Hello, Something strange has happened. The center left speaker is not producing any sound. I tried swapping it with the center right speaker which did work. I am pretty sure everything was correctly connected. So it's very strange.
