I have a Liteon SOHW-1673S DVD Burner. Burning at 4x is fine, and takes about 12mins. On 8x it is taking about the same amount of time maybe a minute quicker. It seems the buffer level in nero is emptying too quickly therefore making the writer pause for more data. I am using sony media; I think...

Verbatim disks by Phil
I believe some recent problems in Audio and data recordings may be attributable to these disks being low quality. Nero scandisks give the green light to them, and they rate out at 10 in the Nero test. But I seem to have some fuzzy sound in one, like bad speakers, It starts at track23 of 25 so to...

Hi...thanks for your time. I have the CRX-140E from Sony bought in october 2000. I'm searching at that site http://sony.storagesupport.com/cdrw/index.htm for a firmware update but i've noticed that in the drop down menu, the only models shown have the suffix ch or ch2. Mine is simply CRX-140E. Do...

Lite-On LTD-16x media compatibility by Jonathan
Hi, I've been shopping for a DVD-ROM drive and have been impressed with the performance and price of the Lite-On DVD readers. I was looking at the specs for models LTD-163, LTD-165, and LTD-166 and all say they support DVD-R, DVD-RW, and DVD+RW but they do NOT list DVD+R. Will they read DVD+R...

I've just got a computer that has a Pentium MMX 200 megahertz CPU, 128 megabytes of RAM and 3 gigabytes of disc space. I really want it for copying music CD's, but I've been told that the machine just doesn't have a high enough specification to take a CD writer. Is this true? I don't care how...

Burner buy by [email protected]
I correspond by e-mail from the UK to an old couple in Connecticut. The haven't a CD burner and seem to think it would be expensive. Would anyone be prepared to advise me on inexpensive stores and/or CD writers that would be available in that area? Best wishes Colin
