Current CDR Capacities by
Mongoose Silent Person
I'm looking for a way to measure the average overburning capabilities of a
stack of media.
I've found places lke http://www.soniccontrol.com/tech/cdr/capacity/ and
http://www.grabware.com/cd_cap.php3 that only list the 650MB range of media.
Has anyone seen a more up to date resource?

Current thinking on best drive by
Allen
My TEAC DV-W58E drive no longer reads DVDs.This was supplied with my
Dell computer and came with Sonic Record Now. I need to replace this
drive and I'm sure I will also need new software, as the Sonic is OEM. I
haven't been thrilled with the s/w and will gladly replace it also.
What is the current...

Customizeing Toolbars question by
Don Nickell
Win98SE, PSP 8.0
Couple of questions from a long-time, part-time, non-artist, user of PSP:
1) Is there some way I can sort the Commands in the Toolbar's Customize window? It's not bad enough not knowing which Category to use for Commands, but the haphazard sorting of commands is frustrating.

Cut large mp3 into acceptable pieces to fit cd - how? by
Martin ©¿©¬ @REMOVETHIS.plus.com
Hi
I have an .mp3 audio book which is too big to fit on a cd
So I need to break it into acceptable sized pieces to fit on each cd.
I have Adobe audition, but I'm not sure how the time length of tracks
relate to cd size/capacity. (Using 80 min cd's)

Yann
Hi everyone,
I have this old drive, but it seems to be able to write only 74Mn - 650Mb
Cd-r.
Some forums said that it's posible to flash the drive with the version 1.10,
2.10, 3.10
or 4.10 to burn cd's until 80Mn - 700Mb.
Someone can explain me the differences between these 4 differents...

as shown in the documentation
either the F1198...

I did a google search but couldn't find what I need. Maybe someone here can
help.
I have a Sony Vaio PC that has a Samsung SC-140C CD and a Pioneer DVR-106D

DAO overheads by
Web-Spinner
When writing a multisession CD, I know that the
overheads is 23MB for the first session and 14MB
for each subsequent sessions in TAO mode.
What is the size of the overhead if I were to
write a CD in DAO mode? (I know it's not
a multisession CD).

DAO vs TAO by
David Rafky
While I understand (conceptually, at least) the difference between TAO and
DAO, which will give best results (i.e., fewer errors) with (a) data
back-up, and (b) music?
Note: I only use single sessions and want a few seconds between songs, and I
want data to be as accurate as possible)?

dat problem, I think by
Planer
Recently, I burned a cd with CDBurner XP-Pro 3 and came out with a disk
full of tracks.
With 'explorer', I can't look inside these tracks. The display just
shows 'Track1.dat', etc.
They play fine with the CD player that came with Win98. I burned it as
a music disk,not
expecting what I...

data and audio CDs? by

A neighbor gave me a blank CD to save some computer files. I've used
disks from that box to record music, but I the computer hasn't let me
record data.
Online I found advice to somebody with a similar problem: are you sure
you're using a data CD? I hadn't known there was a difference. A big...
