Liteon 52x burner only burns at 16x by
Ric
Hi,
I recently got a new Liteon 52x24x52x cd-rw drive and it initially worked
flawlessly. I'm currently on a spindle of 40x certified media, and the
drive, while refusing to burn at 48x or 52x, always burned at 40x. However,
suddenly I find that on the same media, it refuses to burn at anything...

Life expectancy of a burner? by
farqua
I was wondering what sort of life expectancy one can reasonable expect
from an ide cd burner. I am on my second cd burner, a Mitsumi 40-24-48
burner. After 6 months and perhaps 200 cd's burned, it is failing. I can
only burn smaller iso's (under 500mb) as anything bigger will cause an
error. It...

WinXP don't like older CD Writers (6X - 12X)???/ by
BigJ
Ok, been 3 different systems that just had XP installed on and all 3
now have unusable CD writers.... The systems themselves are great (not
too old) but the CD writers are 6x, 8x, and 12x so they are a bit old
(min 2 years each).
All 3 ran great before with Win98 and burning was not an...

Do I really need Adaptec for OS to recognize burner? by
Paul
When I bought my CD burner, it came with Adaptec's Easy CD Creator, etc. I
only have version 4 for W98SE. I would like to use a more comprehensive and
up-to-date burning software but I'm not sure whether (which, how) other
software will serve as a substitute for Adaptec in recognizing the...

Can I make Nero recognize my new drive? by
mike
I have Nero 5.5.something running a TDK/Liteon drive.
I added a new LiteON 52x CDRW drive, but it's not recognized
by nero.
The new drive came with Nero Express 5.5, but I have to uninstall
the old version and lose all the configuration info in order to
reinstall Nero Express. It does recognize...

what is the most reliable method of archiving the HDD to CDR.
I'm currently using Nero 5.5 and have choices of closed or
multi-session, ISO Level 1 or 2, mode 1 or 2, the character set, Joliet, and
relaxed ISO restrictions. I...

Nero CD Ripping Question by
Kelly Pierce
Hello everybody,
I used to create mp3 files with CDEX but after installing Nero,
it looks
like its codecs took over. rather than battle with Nero on codec
territorial issues, I decided to try Nero. I am using version 5.5.9 in
Windows 98. In the file output menu (which is in the dialogue box...
