PHILIPS CDRW2412A and Microsoft XP problems by
[email protected]
Hi all, I recently got a trash comp that I took the Philips CDRW2412A
from to put into my computer. XP says that the drive is working fine
but I can't read or write to any discs whatsoever. I've combed the
internet to the best of my ability for alternate drivers but I've
failed miserably. ...

Dear Friends,
I have a small query regarding burning CDs.
I wanted to know how can I burn a bootable cd and also add some more
folders and files of my choice along with it.
For Example: Suppose I have a bootable winxp Cd, of which I have
already created an image, and I have some other utility...

Write on a regular CD by
vladislav
Hi,
Is there a way to mark a regular CD (not CDR or CDRW) in any way?
I'm working on a projet where we inspect CDs for our clients and have
to mark them as "inspected". Of course, we can use paper stickers etc,
but it would help us tremendously if we could use some kind of
electronic marks.
Can...

Hello all,
I have a pretty old computer, it is a p3-450, 448 MB RAM, 12.7GB (75% free)

as their respective disks I would like to know if my pc is fast enough to
write data dvd's only. I do not want to make dvd movies at...

[comp.publish.cdrom] CD-Recordable FAQ -- pointer by
Andy McFadden
This is not the CD-Recordable Frequently Asked Questions posting, but
rather a pointer to it. I'm posting this because there may be propagation
problems with the FAQ (it's rather large for a Usenet posting), and some
sites have automatic filters that think it's spam. This is also going
out to...

How can I backup Sims by
Ken Applequist
My Sims disk went bad. I tried to contact Maxis, but was unable to find a
link on their site to e-mail them. I went out and bought a new copy of the
Sims. I'd like to be able to make a backup copy so I don't have to buy a 3rd
one, when this one goes bad. However, when I tried using Nero to copy...

Roxio Easy CD & DVD Burning by
Mike Schumann
Does anyone have any more detailed info on this product? I see that it is
for sale at Best Buy, etc., but the Roxio web site has no mention of it.
In particular, does this include the DirectCD or Drag and Drop software
features for writing to UDF formated CDs?
Thanks,

New CD drive good for audio DAE (with EAC) by
Paul Atreides
Hi All,

and ATA. (Ricoh, Hitachi and Plextor).

no overread, no C2 error report).
I...

Kinds of CD by
Richard
Hi. If I choose a file or files on my HDD, and make an audio CD, I am I
believe burning CDA files onto my CD. So, a CD with CDA files is an audio
CD. Correct?
But, what if I want to choose to burn an MP3 file or files onto my CD, what
kind of CD am I making then?
And, with NERO 5, how do I do...

JVC Recorder reads Maxell only by
Video96
Greetings,
I've just purchased a JVC XL-R2010 stand-alone recorder and it seems to only
want to recognize Maxell blanks. I've tried Fuji and TDK and it will give me a
"No Audio Disc" in the message window. The CDr side spools up OK but when I go
to copy (from CD or line-in...it doesn't seem to...

GCC-4320B burning speed? by
John Oliver
My GCC-4320B says it's a 32X burner, but I never get more than 16X
sustainable. Yes, I've tried different media. And several other people
in the office have the same or very similar models and report the same
issue. Firmware is, I think, 1.11 Any way to fix?

Nero Utilities by
RobF
Can the clean tool, system tool etc be used on Nero _Express_ 5.--series,
or only Nero?
The utilities pages refer to Nero serial key, so maybe no express users need
apply. The answer may be somewhere at Ahead but navigating for an hour to
find it is maddening.
