Plextools Professional by Folk
I purchased a Plextor 48/24/48A on 6/1/03. In the reviews I had read, I was lead to believe that Plextools Professional was bundled with the product. Later, I realized that Plextools was only bundled in products sold in Europe. I would like the functionality built into Plextools, so I...

Cinemaster question by - Bobb -
So, if I had PowerDVD already working (on the transplant) before the card, then I don't need this card ? and it's useless to this system ? OK. I'll yank it back out and send it along with the old DVD player to an older system (and then they'll need to get some Cineplayer software (like my PowerDVD)...

Audio CD's sound "muddy" by Folk
Audio CD's sound "muddy". I can extract a track from a "muddy" CD to my hard drive and it sounds fine. I have tried both analog and digital audio cables and they both sound the same? My previous Sony CD-R also sounded muddy. Any ideas? Windows 2000 SP4 ("Enable digital CD audio" is...

Here's my setup - AMD Duron 900 (512 MB PC133 SDRAM) BFG Asylum GeForce FX 5200 Ultra w/128MB RAM Suddenly, CD's and DVD's don't automatically start anymore! I have to manually start the CD or DVD players, or the setup or applications. Now, that's no big deal, but I kinda miss the autorun. I...

Disc Space Variance by sg
I recently formatted a 700 mb CDRW disc using InCD (4.0.1). If I select PROPERTIES for this disc in Windows Explorer it shows the capacity to be 539 mb. Shouldn't the capacity be closer to 700 mb? I don't recall seeing any options related to this in the software. Thanks for any info.

EZCD 5: Change default directories?? Slight overburn?? by [email protected]
Collective Wisdom: I want to change the default dir. EZCD 5 uses to store images. It defaults to My Documents, but I want it elsewhere. I see no editable .ini file, and a search of the registry was fruitless. I also looked at Roxio's site and tech is silent on this matter. Why would they hard-code...

Software to test CD-ROM integrity by Gravel Rash
I've recently upgraded a PC using parts from my existing systems. Unfortunately, the new PC frequently freezes or generates errors when attempting to install software from CD. I suspect a weak reader may be the cause, but was hoping to run a few checks or tests on my drive (Ricoh 7125a CDRW) as it...

NERO problem - last track of music cd-r is silent by Steve
I've been using NERO to copy and burn music cd-r's for about 6 months. All went well (after a slow learning curve) until recently when the last track of every cd I burn (using both NERO and NERO EXPRESS) is silent. The "time" for the track is correct, but no sound is heard as it slowly ticks off...

directCD in EZCD by David
I'm having trouble getting directCD to work in EZCD 5.2. It can format a CD-RW using directCD, and when I insert it, the desktop icon changes, but moving/copying files to it doesn't work. WinXP thinks I'm trying to copy data to a normal CR-RW.

Plextor compatibililty problem? by Mats Karlsson
Hello! My old 4-years old Sony (4x) burner died earlier this week so I bought a brand new Plexwriter 48/24/48A on recommendation from several sources. It came with Nero 5.5.9.8 so I installed that too (had an earlier version previously). I have successfully burned many (hundreds) of CD's with my...
