Problem Playing Back Music CD-Rs by
Morton
Hi,
I have a small portable CD burner that accepts flash memory cards, meant
primarily to transfer photos from an SD card to a CD-R, which it does well.
However, I digitally record classical music on a small recorder (WAV-)
which also uses SD cards. When I transfer the music to a CD-R with this...

Nero and bootable cd's? by
***** charles
Hi all,
I just got a burner and installed Nero 7 Essentails.
I need to create a bootable cd but haven't figured
out how to do that. I've been all through the
software and don't see any choices for making a
bootable cd. What am I missing or should I get
a different program for this?
thanks,

Utility needed to Verify ISO image with burned disc by
Penang
Dear Gurus,
I understand that there are some CD-burning softwares which have built-
in verifying routines to verify the burned disc with the ISO image
file.
However, I am looking for a stand-alone utility that can do the same
thing.
Which is, taking an ISO-image file on the hard disk, and verify...

Time needed to burn a DVD by
RichG
I just burned my first DVD yesterday. The size of the file was under one
meg. It took 57 minutes to burn a DVD R/W on a Sony DRU720-A which shows
either 6 x or 8 x ? for a DVD RW. I'm still happy, but wonder if nearly an
hour to burn a DVD RW is "normal"
thanks RichG TX

Packet Writing in Windows Vista! by
Gerry_uk
Hi,
Packet writing is where your CD or DVD drive gets a drive letter and you
can read/write files just like any other hard drive, thumb drive etc.
I've done extensive testing of UDF packet writing in Vista. It doesn't
require additional software such as Direct CD or InCD.
I've tested CD-RW and...

Nero 5.5: mixed mode CD, why data on track 1? by
[email protected]
Hello.
In Nero 5.5, sometimes I choose to burn a CD in mixed mode, i.e.
containing audio tracks and data files. Whenever I choose the mixed mode
template, I find however that it always burns the data files in the first
track of the session, and audio begins with track 2 and onwards. How can I
make...

Hi-Val - Not one successful format yet! by

I recently bought a Hi-Val 52x48x52 CD-RW drive. I haven't been able format
any type of disk for packet-writing yet. (Tried all types of media too.)
All the "mastering functions" seem to work fine. The drive came with NTI
software (NTI CDMaker/FileCD). I wrote Hi_Val and they told me to...

Looking for the best brands of media for archiving by
louise
I will be archiving to CDRs and to DVD+Rs (new Plextor 8x).
Looking for the best brands of media at this time. I know
TDK used to shine, but I id a recent disk and it was CMC,
which I gather is not so great at all.

Audio CD's: Do copies of copies degrade quality? by

Let me clarify, because I am NOT pirating audio CD's! Using EAC (Exact
Audio Copy), I have copied 50 or so of MY original audio CD's for use in
my car CD player. All is well and good, and as usual EAC lives up to
its reputation.
Now, I need to make a second set of copies for my wife to play in...
