Problem with Lite-On 52246s by
Dan G
This is usually due to burning media too fast, there are very few CDR's that
will burn reliably at 48x-52x. If it's doing this at 40x on TY or RiTEC TG
media, it's probably the drive. Have you tried different firmware on the
drive?

Can't drag and drop onto a CDR disk with Sony cd writer by
NgOnly
Hi. I bought a Sony CRX225A CD-R/RW 52X write, 24X rewrite drive.
This replaces my Yamaha CRW2100E rewritable drive which stopped writing to
disks not too long ago (after only 150 disks used -- sucks but that is
another story).
My question is this. I used Adaptec DirectCD with the Yamaha drive,...

me a CD audio track....
2nd attempt just sent me off the rails as I was sure whether to...

Burnproof by
Tim Kroesen
Ideally, it should make no difference; since your system and config
should permit burning at full speed *most* any format without data
under-run to the drive. Should under-run occur; as perhaps your burning
audio drive to drive on the fly beyond available DAE, the burn will be
suspended and...

DVD newsgroup? by
[email protected]
I've gone thru this list of newsgroups twice now and can't find one
for DVD's. There are a lot of people now using DVD burners and a
newsgroup would be great.

Opinions please? by

Many of Pac Digitals are Lite-On. Go to:
http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?s=aa994f47b51b1d4a01dedca73551dd32&t
hreadid=42344
to see if it is a Lite On, if so it's a very good drive.
(Note URL is probably too long and has folded)

CD Audio Player Compatibility by
Walter Ego
I took a CD-R audio disk I burned using my external firewire drive to
Circuit City today to test some car stereos. The disk will not play on the
Clarion CD player that was standard equipment on my 2001 car or on my Sony
Walkman or even on WMP 7 on my PC. (The error message on WMP says, "cannot

Customizeing Toolbars question by
Don Nickell
Win98SE, PSP 8.0
Couple of questions from a long-time, part-time, non-artist, user of PSP:
1) Is there some way I can sort the Commands in the Toolbar's Customize window? It's not bad enough not knowing which Category to use for Commands, but the haphazard sorting of commands is frustrating.

QUERY: DVD burned to mimic CD? by
Graham Mayor
CD and DVD are entirely different technologies. There is nothing whatsoever
that you can do to get a CD reader to access a DVD disc. They are
mechanically incompatible.

Try unplugging one of the drives, then the other, to see if one is causing
the issue. Be sure to re-jumper and cable appropriately.

Silver, Blue and Green CD Media by
Walter Ego
As side from the multi-color CD packs and black CD blanks, most CD-R media
is the standard silver color. I've been told the blue or green blanks _may_
be more compatable with CD audio players than the standard silver. Is this
true?
The trouble is that unless you buy and open various brands you...

InCD's EasyWrite by
Howard Kaikow
FYI, in Win 2000 SP4:
I installed latest Nero, which is 5.5.10.42, seems to work.
I installed latest InCD, which is 4.0.1.7, which seems to have corrected
earlier bugs I saw.
EasyWrite 4.0.0.10 does not work on my system, I am using EasyWrite 1.0.1.0
The files are not even shown in My Computer...

Has anyone tried the CD label printers? by

I have the Rimage Perfect Producer series, which, if it worked well,
would be a wonderful choice. You can get them easily on eBay for a
reasonable price, but be warned:
The AutoStar, Producer, etc., series systems require a very expensive
($15k+) software/server system. The software is not that...
