CDR versus CDRW by
Opticreep
Is it true that CDRs are more durable, and much more
scratch-resistant, than CDRWs? Is it also true that CDRs are
generally more readable by various consumer-level electronics than
CDRWs?

Only half of my files were shown by

I have XP Home and a cd-rw Samsung burner. I was trying tomake a copy of jpgs
with a few video clips and 1 mp3. I first made all these available on another
drive. Then I went to cd burn in XP and copied them to a blank cd-rw disk. It
took about 23 minutes to copy of 425 files. Once done, I inserted...

Can I use Nero on a HP 8220e? by
mike
I picked up an HP 8220e USB cd burner.
I loaded the HP drivers. Win98SE
Nero 5.5.4.9 recognizes the drive but the burn aborts immediately
with an illegal command error.
I loaded the software suite that came with the drive and it works fine.
But now I have InCD loaded. Looks like an HP version of...

closing open session by
Eric Gisin
If have been getting coasters lately because of overload PSU. It usually fails
during lead-in/out.
I can read them with ISO buster, and the lastest one was bootable. Apparently
there is no TOC, but Award BIOS does not seem to care.
Is there any software to close such CD-Rs?

Norton Ghost 2003 by

Couldn't find help on Symantec's website regarding how to make a auto
restore cd without any user input. I can make the CD(s)but I would
like to have it automatically restore without having to go thru the
menu of selecting restoring from an image.
