Has anyone using this scanner had a problem with getting a pastel blue
or pink band of color on the left side of the scan when doing color
scans/copies?
TIA

Scanner refresh by
[email protected]
I have a Microtek V310 scanner. If the scanner is not turned on when
the computer boots, the computer won't find it when it does get turned
on. I've tried System Properties/Device Manager/Refresh, but that
doesn't work. Is there a program around that will let the computer
recognize the scanner...

I have a external power supply that in the event the power goes out or you
get a power surge it gives you time to save your work and shut down the

house it sets off a whistle sound telling me I have a problem. Does...

48-bit scanner on B&W by
lewrose
A change to XP forced me to a new scanner. I installed a Visioneer 9220USB
which seems to work fine EXCEPT it wont produce a clear simple black & white
scan. After 2 months Visioneer Tech Support tells me that any 48-bit scanner
is "too good" for simple 1-bit B&W scans. Their solution - do only...

Business Card OCR Software? by
redwirenut
Anyone have a suggestion for software that works well for business card OCR?
I know the CardScan products work well, but it doesn't appear that they sell
the software independently of their dedicated scanner. I already have a
flatbed scanner (Canon 8400F), so don't need the little portable unit...

I know most typical prints only contain about 300dpi worth of resolution
and most scanners go way beyond that. Are scanners that also do film
inherantly better?
Its not just sharpness its also colour accuracy. my current cheapo scanner

How to scan View-Master pictures into a computer? by
fan
I have a View-Master circular "reel" that I'd like to scan into my
WinXP computer. I have two scanners - an HP ScanJet 4c and a Dell 942
- but don't know how to utilize either for View-Master reels.
How can this be done?
If this task requires a significant investment in hardware, then...

Canon v Thomson & Epson by
bmoag
Have you ever tried Windows 64?
It is actually quite unstable for many users.Win 64 is not a "high end" OS.
It is actually a very rudimentary beta application that you can pay to be a
tester for.
NVidia and video and chipset drivers, ATI video drivers can not be assumed
to work stably on...

AGFA SnapScan1236S: ADF not working by
Dave Glenn
Hi,
I have an AGFA SnapScan 1236S scanner here with ADF installed.
I cannot get the ADF to run. What happens is that it pulls in a sheet of
paper, moves the scanner head to the end position and then just does
nothing (green scanner LED flashing).
I have tried with several scanning applications...

Speedy scanner recommendation needed? by
cpliu
I'm looking for a fast scanner for OCR and casual color scans. I've used
the following scanners in the last few years: Acer 620U, HP Scanjet
(forgot the model number), Epson CX3200, and Microtek V6UPL. Of all the
scanners, Microtek is the fastest (10-15 seconds for a A4 to legal scan)
and HP being...

A3 Scanner by
shawman
Hi,
I'm looking to buy an A3 scanner to scan a bunch of movie lobby cards
(colour).
Can someone please recommend something which i could use for this job.
I have been checking the Web and found reference to a Mustek Scan Express A3
USB scanner, but a review I read complained about poor colour.

How To by
Kid Proquo
Hi,
I love my Canon PIXMA MP750, but anything placed too close (approx
1/8th inch) from an edge of the glass doesn't get scanned.
So...if I can't lay originals up against edges to ensure they're
straight, how do I center stuff? Especially small stuff? I need to scan
zillions of wallet sized...
