Fan speed on ProLiant 3000 Server by
Fpbear II
The fan speed on the ProLiant 3000 is always running at the same speed (very
loud). I thought this was capable of variable speed, so it slows down when
it's cold. I have the support pack installed. Is there some configuration
in one of the management agents to set the fans to variable speed?

fshguo
I have a Proliant 800 server with 3 HDs on RAID 5 under Smart Array

Currently one hard drive is down indicated by Smart Array Utility,
first of all I would like to identify which one is dead. So by looking
into the indicator of the hard drive, there is...

Compaq Presario 5447 refurbishing by

A young friend has been gifted with the 5447 by her mother. It was so
badly locked up that a complete fdisk, format and reinstallation of
win 98se had to be done. Now, with the driver updates from their web
site, I have been able to reinstall all but the modum. The sound card
had been damaged and...

using IBM Director on HP/Compaq kit? by

Hi all,
has anyone successfully monitored Compaq/HP hardware with IBM
Director?
We have a mixed bag of servers and are looking at both SIM and
Director. Been able to send SNMP to Director from the servers but
Director doesn't assign / pick-up a severity code so would be a big
job to 'sort the...

strange driver - cqarflsh.sys by
Graeme
Can anyone tell me what this is please?
Properties state that it's a Compaq ROM Flash Driver but I can't find
mention of it on the net and it's the *possible* cause of a memory
leak for us.
Doesn't seem to exist on any of our other servers also.
Any help much appreciated

Just swapped out the RIB (RIBLOII) in a Compaq ML530 G1 (Windows 2000)
