Win98 not detecting CD-Rom by
Pearlf
This is probably not the best NG to raise this question, but the people here

fine otherwise. When I booted up a few days ago, Win98 (not SE) wouldn't
detect the CD-Rom anymore. Removed the hardware...

Ghost 2003 OEM version for Dummies by
Steve P
The OEM version of Norton's Ghost 2003 came with my motherboard. I had a
pretty good time trying to make it work with Windows XP so I thought I'd
post my adventures to help some other poor soul.
I first read the instructions that came on my CD. Although informative, they
didn't explain how to use...

Being fed up with the horrible customer/tech support VIA provides - in
the form of _private_ forums that do not get saved on Google (so that
prospective customers can research) and that are full of _unanswered_
problems - I am making sure now this farse gets on record.
Before deciding on a...

Greetings,
I have a P3 1GHz processor in an Abit BX133

was monitoring the temperature and wondered
what an acceptable temperature range was for the
PIII when its operating ? I observed in the bios that
it was running at about 60 degrees C. Is that...

Can anyone tell me what kind of modem is better:

And, does anyone know how to tell if a modem is a

What is the thread size used with brass motherboard standoffs? by
Gene
Does anyone know what the thread sizes are for the small brass PC
motherboard standoffs? I need to know both the outer thread size that
screws to the PC case and the inner thread size that is used for the
screws that hold the motherboard.
Thanks in advance!

drive that only seems to be formatting with fat32 as 131gb. She is choosing
the max partition size. She is using Win Me. It's been so long since...
