CD-R Wont Repeat on CD Player by mtbcpa
I have burned a CD on a CDR and have tied to play it in repeat mode on my cd player (hold music) but it will not repeat. It just stops, as if paused, at the end of the last song. Any ideas? Thanks!

Variable burn rates on Nero 6? by dgk
I got a Plextor 712A. It is the first burner that I've had that seems to vary the speed of the burn in order to maximize optimal writes. At least, thats what I understand from reading the manual. The EZCD software that comes with it specifically supports that ability with a speed selection option....

Creative uses for CD/DVD coasters? by Ablang
Does anyone have any creative uses for CD/DVD coasters that result from bad burns, or free AOL/Earthlink/PeopleSoft, etc CDs? I did read that the shiny reflective underside scares any birds (or pigeons) because they are scared of their own reflections. What do you do? I hope you don't just throw...

nero v6: drive is in use by another application by John
Nero upgrade from v5.5 to v6 problem: 'drive is in use by another application' There is much about this in the web and usenet litrerature - possibly exclusively with WinXP - there appears to be a solution in which something called IMAPI has to be controlled. However, I have the problem with...

CD-RW disc problems by Mattrixx
This may sound like a dumb question but here goes: When you write to a CD-RW and then later erase that same CD-RW, must you Format that same CD-RW *Disc* in order to write yet again? I have 5 Memorex CD-RW disc`s that I know I have successfully written to at some point in time, and then recently...

I've got some old embedded systems running NT4 that can't be changed to anything newer, and I'd like to hand CD burners on them to help pull data. I assume I can't use an external burner due to lack of USB support. Does anyone have recommendations for burner software that works on NT4? I'd...

DVD+R's & DVD-R's by D. Lee
I know that for blank CD-R's, the very best brands are probably Mitsui & Taiyo Yuden because they're known to last a very long time instead of probably going bad after several years or so, and that ones made in Taiwan are mostly, if not all, crap, but I know nothing about blank DVD+R's & DVD-R's,...

Alternatives to Adaptec Easy CD creator? by half_pint
Are there any free alternatives? It is destroying my CDs with gay abandon at the moment when I try to format them for data (directed) (just had about 5 straight failures). I am wondering if it is EZCDCreator or just a real bad bunch of disks, I bought 50 and only about 2 in 10 (if that) work....

Nero: What is the "Protection" option for? by GarySport
I'm using Nero 5, which is a "lite" version that came with my burner. Once I choose tracks to record and place them in a compilation list, I can select a track and right-click it and select "Properties" and an "Audio Track Info" dialog box pops up. This dialog box allows me to enter Track Title,...
