Tyan K8WE with dual core CPUs? by
Tom Brown
I am thinking of building a new system based on the Tyan K8WE
motherboard, and I need some help!
Does anyone have a Tyan K8WE motherboard with dual core CPUs? If so,
does the bios see both CPUs in each socket?
Please let me know what CPUs you are using!
Thanks!

Monitor problems, flickering/strobing by
Emmy™Award Winner Michael Chiclets
This is an older monitor I picked up at a yard sale, a Samsung 900 19
inch CRT. Worked great for the first couple of years, then I noticed
the color would shift from a yellow tint to a bluish tint and back a
time or two before settling down.
The other day I notice up at the top third or so a...

DDR confusion... by
Steven Yockey
Ok, over the weekend I upgraded from a Intel 815e chipset motherboard
with a P3 to a VIA PT880 chipset with a Celeron D. I am now in the world
of DDR, quad pumping, timing ratios, etc. I know this is not a fast
processor but it's considerably faster than my old setup and I do have
some room to grow...

Hi,
Can I use a 400Mhz ddr ram memory on a 300mhz bus motherboard?
I have an Asus A7S8X-MX motherboard
(http://www.asus.com/products/mb/socketa/a7s8x-mx/overview.htm) that
accepts 333Mhz Ram memory. I have a 400Mhz 1GB DDR Ram memory. Are they
both compatible?

Where to buy an Internal Drive Cage? by
News Group
Hi,
I am refurbishing a PC for a friend - the case is a standard ATX (Mid)Tower.
I want to install three SCSI HD drives internally - the three external drive
bays are otherwise occupied.
Unfortunately the internal drive cage only holds two HD drives - there is
plenty of room for a larger drive...

VGA vs. DVI by
[email protected]
I have dual CRT monitors but the 2nd VGA monitor connected from the DVI
output of the GFX card has much better colour quality than the 1st VGA
monitor.
Both monitors are same manufacturer, model and resolution and the 2nd
monitor uses a DVI-to-VGA monitor.
Q: Is this normal for both TFT & CRT...

Bizarre TFT Screen Problem (ViewPanel VG175)? by
Alceryes
There is no wiring problem (short circuit, damaged cables..) as far as
I can tell.
Any ideas?
If you've got a multimeter you can test to see if the power adapter is
putting out what it should. If not you might be able to find a compatible
adapter at radio shack (same voltage, amperage, and...

Hey
I hope someone can help me with this, because I've had it for a long time
now, and as you can imagine, it's really bothersome.
Right, on to the problem.
A while ago, I bought an external hard drive casing, one that fits an
internal hard drive.
Along with it, I bought a PCI card with 3...

Some questions on overclocking by
Random Person
Hi guys. A couple of questions on overclocking...
If you had to pick an AMD64 processor to overclock, which one would you
take, and why? I thought an AMD64 939-pin 3000+ Venice core might be
good.
For that matter, why does a smaller manufacturing die (e.g. 0.9nm)
translate to lower heats?
If you...

Winbond W83627THF (ISA 290h) by
Bob
Can someone tell me all about the Winbond W83627THF (ISA 290h) sensor
on my MSI 865GVM2-LS (MS-7037).
In particular, Everest appears to get the assignment of the CPU and MB
backwards. I would expect the CPU to respond to stress much more than
the MB sensor, which is what happens.
But I do not...
