AMD Sempron 2800+ by
nuclear.Wasted()
Hi all.
I just picked up a really cheap mobo/cpu (ECS something-or-other mobo
and an AMD sempron 2800+ cpu)
it's supposed to run at 2GHz, and when I put the computer all together,
it runs at ~1500MHz
I've seen this before with other computers, and usually just go into the
BIOS and change some CPU...

What Monitor? by
brianbru
I have just purchased a new PC, spec below and am trying to determine
the best monitor for maximising the graphics potential of the machine.
Would a crt or TFT be better and if TFT would it be better to have the
higher resolution of 20" TFT or the faster response time of a 19"TFT?
SPEC:
AMD Athlon...

When I try to copy a DVD (using legal versions of Any DVD and DVD clone) my
computer crashes after about 50% of the project is complete. When I remove
the WD raptor disc from the housing and straighten out the SATA cable, no
prblem is experienced.
I use a pentium 4, 256 MB memory, 80 GB HD and...

Darn, is my Hard Disk Drive finished? Can't read it. by
eb7g
I have a 120GB Western Digital Caviar that is less than two years old. I
was rendering a movie from it when it froze and then nothing could read
it again.
The computer bios will see it, but windows can't. Can't seem to access
it in anyway, even to reformat it. It spins and seems fine....
Any idea...

To all modem users! by
gee
Hi!
I have a request for modem users. I'm looking for a modem with voice
functions which is 100% TAPI compatible - it means such a modem is able to
play sound directly to modem (telephone line) and record sound from
telephone line to a for example harddisk.
To test if a modem is capable of doing...

"fixing" and may be a result of issues with both software and hardware. If

Memory type by
Martin Racette
Hi,
I read lately an article in a local newspaper, that stated that if I have a
motherboard that is build to use PC3200, I could also use PC4000 and even DDR2
memory modules
What I would like to know is , IS this true, I know that I would not get the
whole performance gain from those memory...

does vanilla wireless USB exist? by
Me
I'm NOT looking for WiFi. I'm not looking for Bluetooth.
I have USB devices that need to operate wirelessly. These devices are
WiFi and Bluetooth agnostic.
Lookup "wireless USB" anywhere and you get innundated with WiFi and
Bluetooth. Grrr.... Does USB not exist in a "just USB" variety?
