Which is better PS/2 or USB (keyboard) ? by
Skybuck
Hello,
Some keyboards are PS/2 and some keyboard are USB ?!
Is there a difference ?
I am mainly concerned about how many keys can be pressed at the same
time.
This is important for shooters. Where a player might want to hold down

All-iin-Wonder question by
spoon2001
I've posted the following in the ATI newsgroup .. but received no response.
You guys have been more helpful in the past and perhaps one of you knows the
answer ... it seems like a simple question, but I've had a devil of a time
finding the simple answer.

mobo - overloaded? by
spoon2001
Can a mobo be overloaded, powerwise ... with too many devices? That is,
even if the PSU is more than adequate, the mobo just can't deliver the
required power to all the devices that are demanding it?
I blew a power supply not long ago ... an Antec, 3 years old ... replaced it
with an Antec...

Dabs (UK) Returns within 28 days. by
Dave (from the UK)
Hi,
I ordered an Antec Titan 550 case from Dabs which I received a couple of days
ago. The case has two faults.
1) The wiring to the front USB/firewall/audio is a mess.
2) More importantly the PSU smells of burning, despite the fact I only have a
single Opteron CPU and a Geforce nvida 6600...

How to connect extra case fans for Skybuck's Dream PC (2006) ? by
Skybuck Flying
Hello,
I have bought almost all components of Skybuck's Dream PC (2006). The only
thing which is missing is the case and some case fans. (The only other thing
I did not order is the diskdrive 7-in-1 card reader. It was not available
and I probably don't really need it, since floppy disks are not...

slowed down after reformat by
geronimowww
I had to reformat drive C after being infected by trojan(s)/virus(es).
After reinstalling windows xp pro, the PC has considerably slowed
down. Booting up takes all of 4 minutes. Using windows explorer to
transfer files takes forever, and according to task manager uses all
of 100% of the CPU....

Heating up my CPU & glad for Arctic Silver by
Charlie Wilkes
A couple of weeks ago I removed the thermal pad on my CPU and replaced
it with a thin smear of Arctic Silver, which dropped the temperature
about 5 degrees C. A discussion ensued in which a number of people
made the point that I didn't achieve any performance gain. I agreed,
because all my test...

Old Chips in New Mobo by
[email protected]
I want to upgrade my motherboard to an Asus P4P800-E but I'm not yet
ready to upgrade the CPU nor the Ram (I will upgrade in stages). Will I
have any problems installing the old chips in a new motherboard? Both
are Socket 478, and both take 184-Pin DIMMS. I have an Asus p4pe with 3
PC 2100 DIMMS...

Back-up Options - Which is the best? by
Steve Wade
Hi Guys,
Since researching optical media on the Internet and coming across all sorts
of stories about the very short life of the inks used in these things, my
present back-up method - CD-R & DVD - seems less than ideal.
So I was thinking a need for a better but cheap solution is needed.
Does...

Epox Mobos? by
Dave Hardenbrook
My current self-built system has an Epox Mobo (from 2002), and because
it's been good to me, I was planning to use an Epox in a custom-built
system for a client. However, I've found that none of the retail chains
(CompUSA, Microcenter, Fry's, &c.) carry Epox Mobos anymore. Why not?
Are they no...

Making a Hard-Wired Dvorak Keyboard. by
[email protected]
I'm interested in making a "hard-wired" Dvorak keyboard. I'm
thinking it's just a matter of altering the keyboards bios and would
be the same a changing the language of the keyboard. If possible I
would like this keyboard to be able to switch between Dvorak and
QWERTY. (Perhaps by pressing Scroll...
