Amtrak Fiasco by Dadio
My local Amtrak depot is Enfield and they just don't seem to be able to cope. I am in South Cambridgeshire (SG8 postcode though) and when they had a Stevenage depot things worked reasonably well. But no longer. On December 21st I ordered something from Micro Direct and all credit to them the...

And I thought Royal Mail was bad... by des
Placed an order with Tekheads on 25 April, received the order on 29th April, just got an email today (dated 27 April) telling me they have dispatched the order and it will be with me next working day. I assume this is an NTL email problem not Tekheads.

Another Bad Experience at PC World by CJB
After reseraching I wanted a Toshiba G30 laptop. Arranged via Internet banking for enough funds to pay cash for it. Went to PC World - a big store (but stangely empty of customers) - and waited forever - as usual - for any attention, but then got a junior member of staff. It must have been his...

Another Ebuyer query, about return postage refund by John Blundell
Like a number of others, I am going through the Ebuyer RMA procedure. I have returned the goods, and they have been accepted, and an order has been set up to send me the replacements. In my RMA I requested refund of the return postage. In their RMA number allocation, they instructed me to send a...

Another invisible CityLink card by Cornelius J Rat
My colleague who lives in Crowthorne, near Bracknell, ordered bits from EBuyer for delivery last week; they were due Wednesday so he waited in. They hadn't arrived by the evening so he checked the Citylink website - marked as not in and a card having been put through the door. No card, but...

Any cheap PCI controller cards for SATA? by Jon D
I want to use a PCI controller card to let my old PC take a SATA hard drive. Most of the controller/adapter cards I have seen cost over £20. Surely I can get one cheaper without stooping to "no-service" sellers like eBay or the dodgy mail order outfits? Has anyone seen a cheap SATA PCI-adapter...
