Norm Dresner
Background: A co-worker came to me about a month ago and asked,

"No problem," said I, "you can use the printer port's interrupt."
"But I don't know how to...

Nocona in LGA775? by
Rob Jellinghaus
Intel "unveils" first workstation EMT64 on Monday:
http://www.infoworld.com/article/04/06/22/HNintelnocona_1.html
Is this chip going to be usable with Grantsdale / Alderwood / LGA-775?
In other words, if I buy a Grantsdale system, is there any chance Intel
will release an EMT64-enabled CPU that...

AMD has a PDF available explaining how Microsoft will allow existing 32-bit
apps to be able to access the full 4GB of memory for user space. This is an
upgrade of Microsoft's existing 3GB-aware Windows modifications, which
itself was an upgrade from the 2GB standard Windows image. This is...

Dumb CPU question by
sticks
I made the stupid mistake of purchasing a
new P4 2.8 ghz CPU without noticing that
it was a P4 "prescott" CPU and my mainboard
will only accept a P4 "northwood" CPU.
I put the CPU in the board before noticing
this dumb error on my part, and of course
the system did not boot up.
Is the CPU now...
