Cpu wears out? by
\\o/ Billy
My xp1700 system used to crash a lot. No rhyme, no reason. I clocked down to
xp1500 and it's been working fine. My guess is that my cpu's getting worn
out. Fact?

350Watt by
Chris
I am building an AMD64 4000+ and NVIDIA, 6800GT which I know requires
external power source form PSU, do you think a 350watt PSU could withstand
that CPU, GPU, HDD and CD RW. I have heard a good one should be able to, but
then I have also heard going for a 500 watt would be a better option

A few questions... by

My last computer was built 6 monthes ago and everything has changed since
then. I am buying an Athlon 64 3500+ chip and I have to run an AGP 8X Mobo

CAS latency? by
[email protected]
Hi folks!
I am not overclocking anything. I just saw that you are talking about
CAS latency (via Google), and saw that you know things, so maybe you
could help me with a thing I am confused with.
I have FIC AU13 mbo. On it I have two sticks of Xerox 3-4-4-8 (on
200Mhz), 256Mb (on DIMM2 & 3), and on...

Hmmph. Switching the fan good enough? by
Kevin C.
I have a Spire WhisperRock IV on my XP 3200, which I purchased because it
was low-noise. Unfortunately I did not think that this would present a real
thermal issue, but the system has been shutting down from the heat. It's an
aluminum heatsink with a copper disc contact and an 80mm 2900 RPM fan....

Forget about overclocking with what you have... also, reset the memory to
default settings!

I'm currently moddifying an old AMD T 1 GHz, while I'm at it I might as
well overclock my precious. But when I set the dipswitches to multiplier
12x, nothing happens! In fact, both during the startup sequence and
according to different pieces of software, the multiplier is still 10x.

Using pc2100 ram in an AMD 64bit system. Will this work ?? by
Son Of Sheep.
Not sure i would want to 133fsb vs 200fsb. Just have a stick 1 gig of
pc2100 and iam building a media pc and though i might use it in it.
Then againmight just buy some cheapish 3200 ram. Its cheap these days.
Thanks for any info.
