ebuyer After Sales - time to respond/acknowledge RMA ? by
lordy
I know, I know. You get what you pays for etc. etc.
I ordered a Laptop HD and they sent the wrong item (Logitech USB Headphones ),
I RMAed it 2 days ago. They should have received it today.
During this time I've had no responses or communication of any kind.
Fair enough - I guess this comes with...

I've had it with Bangalore! They refuse to put me through to the UK office.

Does anyone have ANY kind of Head Office for UK and Ireland number? This is

Buying from other vendor through Amazon by
Sandi
I go to Amazon UK for an MP3 player.
I find Amazon lists an MP3 player which will be supplied by Pixmania.
I would like to know this .....
Is Amazon acting as an agent (so my contract is with Pixmania) or as a
reseller (so my contract with Amazon)?
Comments suggest Pixmania is generally ok...

WTF? 'Warranty void if seal broken' stickers? by
Jim Howes
I have just received two pre-built 'budget' PC's from a vendor who, for the time
being, shall remain nameless (unless, of course, I fail to get a satisfactory
response to this question from them). You are of course, free to name, shame,
praise or otherwise guess as to A) Who you think it is, and...

CCL Computers taking money immediately, when goods not in stock by
Lee J. Moore
Very surprised by this. Ordered an item (a £200 Christmas Present + £25
of other items) not in stock at the point of ordering but expected to be
available today. I received an email today saying there are availability
problems and they can't say when the £200 item will be in stock.
I checked my...

Looking for a new PC by
IE
Hi,
Looking to replace an ageing PIII 450 128 RAM (circa 1999) with something
more powerful that can run Linux (with KDE) comfortably. Budget is £500.
Can anyone suggest what I might buy for this sort of money please? Processor
to go for? Minimum RAM etc etc?
Many thanks.

Anyone got a HPGA04YZ5 PCI-X riser for a HP DL320 G5 server? by
Jim Howes
I am trying to get hold of a HPGA04YZ5 PCI-X riser card for a DL320 server.
They seem to be irritatingly difficult to get hold of.
Has anyone out there got one? (Perhaps you have a server supplied with one, but
you'd like a dual PCI-E x 8 riser in exchange?)

So just which vendors can be trusted? by
Gary Morton
I am about to spend around £700 to £800 pounds to upgrade (well
completely overhaul) my PC. I will buy seperate parts as I always have,
and using "Custom PC" as my guide, I have decided on the various
components (processor, motherboard, graphics card, etc).
I have visited the websites of all...

ExpressCard devices by
Jim Howes
We have equipment that plugs into parallel ports.
Not printer ports, but parallel ports (i.e. DB25, not C-34 shaped plugs)
Such equipment is usually driven by software pushing and pulling bytes into and
out of I/O registers at the parallel port's I/O address.
In ye-olden days, such things were...

I'm looking for a new PC to replace my laptop but can't seem to find exactly
