Volume too ..................... low? by
Bruce.[_2_]
I just installed a new ASUS P5E and love it! I've been playing around with
the included audio SupremeFX II card.
While playing with the new mixer, I noticed if you turn the master volume
DOWN to below 20% or so, a yellow triangle appeares. That made me curious,
so I hovered the mouse over...

Bruce.[_2_]
I'm trying to max the memory in my P4B533.
The manual isn't clear about what the max memory that can be installed in
the 3 memory slots of the P4B533. It says 256MB, 512MB, and 1GB modules are

Two different PCI-E graphics cards - possible? by
rpgs rock dvds
My mobo = P5K Premium 'black pearl'. I have an nVidia-based 8800GT in
the blue PCI-E slot. Can I put an ATI-based PCI-E card in the other
black PCI-E slot?
Please note I don't want "SLI" or "Crossfire". Instead, I want to use
one graphics card for one XP-based HDD partition setup, and the...

Does P5A support 120 GB hard drive? by
[email protected]
I have an Asus P5A motherboard with the 1.07 bios, and when I attached
a 120 GB hard drive to it, it only recognized it as a 32 GB hard
drive. What is the latest BIOS for that mobo, and what's the maximum
hard drive size that it supports?

Jordan[_4_]
I have the M2V and wanted to use a eSATA raid cage for extra storage.
The eSATA raid unit has the Sil 3726 eSATA 5 port multiplier in it.
All this is supposed to do is to allow the OS to see 5 disk drives.
The computer never gets to the Windows 2000, XP, or even 2003 Server

if I lhave the speakers on and then boot up there is a distinct hum
that gets louder when the volume goes up. Generally there is no hum
if I turn the speakers on after I boot up. I'm using the drivers on

Anyone have a good Registry Sweaper to recommend? by
William
I have been trying to run down some weird boot problems on my mobo... I
downloaded a registry sweeper and found I had over 1425 errors. But the
program would only fix the first 24 without paying for the full version,
$49.95. That sounded a little expensive so I removed it from my computer to...

Compatible internal card reader by
[email protected]
Any recommendations for a USB internal card reader (3.5" or 5.25"
bay)? Newegg reviews indicate that just about all have their fair
share of "one egg" reviews. I'm looking for something reliable with
Vista and completely plug&play with the USB header on an Asus
motherboard. Thanks!

I'll need as many slots as possible, the GA-P35-S3G was recommended.

exist?)
I'd be using the system for downloads, background processing, etc. so

which Asus P5K motherboard ? by
Talal Itani
I need to buy an Asus motherboard for a new PC. P5K seems to be a good
choice, yet there are so many variations of this motherboard. Some have
small heat sinks, some have elaborate heat sinks. Please give me some
advise on how to narrow things down. Thanks.
