What speed RAM for a given mobo? by
Beowulf
How does one figure out the speed of RAM to get for a mobo? Is it supposed
to be some multiple that divides into the mobo front side bus speed or
something? Not sure how to figure out what type and speed of RAM chips to
get for a mobo. There must be some logic to it.

Rear face plate by
Bob
On the back of the case is a tin(?) plate that the m/b slides into.
The plate is where you connect all the i/o connections, such as,
audio, video, mouse, keyboard, basically all your connections to
the exterior items you connect. The plate itself has small tabs for
each connection.
My question is:...

In the BIOS, is it better to let Intel run "all" the cooling fans instead of
just the CPU fan? What are the advantages and disadvantages of it either
way.....Intel D915 on this machine.

Thermal Pads ? by
Dave
Anyone know HOW you use these?
http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=288621&pfp=cat3
Instructions with them don't make any sense and I am concerned about
frying the processor if I don't keep it cool enough.

Should I wait to buy a CPU? by
Jan Alter

Computergate.com for $140. A couple of weeks later the price jumped another
$20. You can possibly get Semprons (smaller cache) in the $100 range, but
most likely will have to buy used if you're looking for that kind of price
at the...
