A8V Bios version by
Colonel Blip
Hello, All!
I currently have 1009 version bios installed on my Asus A8V Deluxe m/b and
frankly, it doesn't seem to have any problems. I was wondering if others
here have found flashing up to version 1011 to be worth changing or is it
less stable?
Thanks,
Colonel Blip.

abit / P3 by
nobodaddy
Hi
I'm a bit thick.
I have an old Abit SL6 sock370 with a 1gig P3 256 133. I've just bought a
rocketraid 1520 s-ata card, 2 s-ata baracudas & an Asus V9520/TV GeForceFX.
These are for when I scrape the ££ together to get a new 533 board and a
3gig HT P4.
I want to use these HDs and graphics...

P Gagg
Hi..... my question....
During the last couple of days I have just built myself a new Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
based pc. I understand the clock multiplier on Intel chips cannot be changed (even if the
bios allows it) mine is set to 9.
Stock speed was 9 x 272 giving a cpu speed of 2400...

Voltage Monitoring

Why does it say under the monitoring tab NB/AGP? Is that meaning
Northbridge?
I noticed allot of people who overclock their P4's set the AGP to 1.6v or

I have this motherboard fitted with a Socket 775 Celeron D, and previous
posts tell me
1. The Celeron has less cache than a Pentium 4 5xx or 6xx series chip that
would also fit this board
2. These chips are overclockable, at present I have the stock cooler and

Abit AT8 will be available in January by
gold fingers
After quite thoroughly shopping (researching) around for the best
motherboard for me, I guess the AT8 is the closest to what I need.
Notice I said 'closest', I did make a wish list and realized that I
would never be able to cover everything on the list, but I did come
darn close. The things not...

Abit AW9D-max chipset voltage and temperature by
Neil
I'm turning up the speed on my new PC. So far I have it up to 400MHz FSB
(from 266MHz) and tested it to be stable with Orthos. To this point I
haven't had to increase Vcore at all. (I have a stable 50% overclock with
no increase in Vcore; I think that's pretty interesting and not something...

Abit failure by

After installing my new WC setup on my Q6600/Abit IP43 set-up I decided to
try pushing my limits. During an out-of-room benchmarking run I heard a

Abit IC7 Max 3 board...which memory? by

Hi,
I'm not necessarily interested in overclocking at this time but
figured I'd ask a question in this forum after a Google search as the
participants here likely know the most about RAM and compatibility
from what I've browsed through.
My old system is going to my son and I believe I'd like to...

Abit IC7 NB Cooler Vs Zalman ZM-NB32J by

After less than a month of usage, my Abit IC7's Northbridge cooler is making
some funky sounds at start-up, whining for about a minute and generally
suggesting that failure and a potentially toasted Northbridge aint too far
away. Accordingly, I was considering using one of the passive...
