Too Much OC? by
MiniDisc_2k2
Sometimes, when I run Outlook, AIM, or IE, my computer either doesn't
connect to the server, runs really slow, or something. Could this be a
result of instability after overclocking?
Stats:
Pentium 4 Northwood 2.4GHz @ 2.95GHz
System Bus = 164MHz (standard = 133MHz)
FSB = 4*164 = 656MHz
1x 256MB...

P4 2.4 temperature by
Ixnei
I'm breaking in a P4 2.4 400 at default settings, with boxed fan I just
purchased (costa rica 4/30/3 pack date). It's replacing an old P4 1.8A
which wouldn't get much higher than 2.2 at 1.65V (I prefer keeping the
Vcore low, like 1.6 or below). The 1.8A was actually drifting over time -

DFI's NFII Ultra motherboard - how to reset the BIOS by
MiniDisc_2k2
If I push the reset button during the BIOS loading sequence, it resets all
of my overclocking scenarios. If I push mine too far it does the same thing,
then when I hit reset it resets my computer back to a 133 bus and DDR400.
Try turning on your computer and about 5 seconds after push reset.

Bad Memory? by
Gary Hegan
Corsair PC3200 is rated to run at 400MHz. You are pushing it. You need
PC3500@433MHz or PC3700@466MHz to run at 430MHz.

Memory timings for best speed by
Lee
Hi Pete
Generally with memory timings if you go on the rule a lower value=faster
performance but personally i would leave it on auto unless you want to
start experiencing crashes/lockups ;-(

Vid Card OC question by
Michael Hughes
Ok, for the past few months I've overclocked my video card using Powerstrip
(shareware version)
now, at first i got a good solid 100fps in Counterstrike. However, that has
steadily declined for 2 months until now, I get around 60-80 fps.
Does the vid card need to be replaced? can I do anything...

which ps for XP2100+ by
sdlomi
Can I buy an adequate power supply for the XP2100+ for $30.00? There
will be a dvd, cdrw, 30-gig h/d, ECSk7S5A mobo, 512 meg ddr ram, 2 desktop
speakers(no subwoofer), 16meg video(ugh!), and NO overclocking.
What brands, if any, might work? Thanks in advance, sdlomi

2-3-2-6 vs. 2-2-2-6 ? by
Thomas Andersson
Hi!
I've tried to get and answer or find information about this, but without
success so far.
It's quite simple, I'm about to chose ram for my A7N8X-Deluxe (w. Barton
2500 to be run at 200Mhz).
I've decided on Kingston Hyper-X, just not what sticks to use yet.
I will get 2*512MB (PC3200, to be run...
