I bought some Canon matte photo paper and Epson Matte Paper Heavyweight for my Canon i950, just to try the matte papers on it. They both seem to have the same problem. You take the paper out, and it looks like ordinary white paper, no texture or emulsion qualities whatsoever - so flat and plain...

Canon i950 vs. i950s by Jerry Schwartz
The differences would probably have nothing to do with the hardware. These "special" models sometimes have different software bundled with them, and have different eligibility for rebates; the warranty might be different, but not likely. It's conceivable that they supply half-filled ink cartridges...

Recommended laser printer parts vendor by Warren Post
Can anyone recommend a reliable online vendor of laser printer parts? My Brother MFC 4500ML multifunction laser needs a new fuser controler board. Sure, I could Google, but my interest is not so much finding the lowest price as finding a reliable vendor. TIA, Warren

I am very happy with this printer and I am passing the following along, hopefully to help anyone having the same problem that I had. I recently purchased a All-in-one Hp PSC 2110. Brother MFC-4600 Win2K troubles by Thomas Rohricht
Using a Brother MFC-4600 Laser Multifunction machine - a problematic piece of equipment at the best of times. Out of the blue and for no apparent reason, the driver stopped talking to the printer. I can still scan and receive faxes so I know the parallel port (and that idiotic BMFC port) are still...

parallel vs. usb cable printer connection by [email protected]
I have a inkjet printer connected by a parallel cable (printer cable) and usually upon printing the first page, there is some hesitation before the printed page processes at the printer. If I should eliminate the parallel cable and switch the printer to a usb cable, will the same thing occur?
