Cahoot "webcard" for one time transactions by
des
Hi Lem,
I use the Webcard all the time for credit card and debit cards and think its
great.
You get a small executable ( 156 kb ) program which you can run when you
want to use it or keep it in your startup.
When you run it, it presents a login screen where you type your normal
Cahoot details.

Rob L?
I ordered a hard drive from Aria on 22nd October 2003, together with a s/h
mobo from their 'bargain basement'. On receipt the mobo was stone dead, so I
immediately arranged an online RMA to return it. I received an email on the
30th October to say the item had been received and was being passed...

PCWorld by
Me
I am not fan of P.C world but £19.99 for virus removal is cheap! They are
proberly doing it on the basis that a lot of punters will have some upgrades
done at the same time.
Well it works for me anyway!

DABS presales (lack of) service by
Geoffrey Clements
Hi,
I haven't been around here for some time it's been nearly three years since
I last built a PC but I thought it was time to start again.
I always used Dabs, they've always been good to me with quick deliveries,
helpful staff and you could always get hold of their MD on this newsgroup
so I was...

CCL are a complete disaster! by
TX2
I just felt i had to write that.
I'm not going into details, but despite my most recent order (a full
system self-build) being 'monitored' thru their new systems (splutter)
and the Customer Services Manager agreeing to keep an eye on it, CCL
still managed to **** up.
No notification the order was...

UK computer auction outfit Northern Realisations by
Niels Cook
Anyone had experience with Northern Realisations computer auctions at
Bolton?
eg. what sort of prices are Dell P3-600+/10/128+ etc going for? Sadly
they don't seem to sell base units by themselves, they seem to insist
on bundling them with monster monitors :-

Well just a quick message to put my thumbs up to Simply.co.uk as on

Screws and bits... by
Chris Howells
Hi,
My normal source, Maplin, for case screws (e.g. the size used to hold
floppy/hard disk/CD drives in place) unfortunately appears to be having
trouble getting any stock: their web site quotes 28 days, and my local
store (Liverpool, Edge Hill) mentioned a similar story.
Unfortunately I can't...

PSU for Dell Optiplex G1 in the UK by
Gotder Teshirt
The PSU unit for a Dell Optiplex G1 is non-ATX-standard in terms of
both physical form factor and connector wiring. And Dell's price for
a replacement unit in the UK is from a different planet.
Does anyone know of a source of new or refurbished units in the UK,
please?
