Misco anyone? by Odie Ferrous
I recall these guys started out selling consumables - I may be wrong. However, their website is a pleasure to use and they appear to have a good selection of everything at reasonable prices. Has anyone actually used them recently? Odie --

Novatech - selling second hand kit as new? - Nexus PSUs. by John Perry
Today I went to Novatech to pick up my Nexus Real Silent 400W PSU which I had ordered. Invoice SI/3072074 if Novatech are watching. When I got it, instead of it being boxed as per the catalogue, it came loose with a scratched case. I said this looks like a second hand one and asked the guy who...

Warranty of replaced equipment by Derek Baker
Last September my router - which I'd bought from my ISP - failed when it was just under a year old, and the ISP replaced it. The replacement had now failed. Did my warranty run out when the first unit was a year old or did it begin again with the new one? Thanks in advance

OT : Office licensing by ComPCs
I am looking to 'upgrade' from Office 2000 to Office 2003, and was wondering about the licensing arrangement for this, in respect that I have a desktop PC and a laptop. AIUI, so long as the user for each machine is the same person, you can install a 2nd installation, in my case, on the laptop, and...

RedJag Computers? by Chris Basford
Has anyone bought from this company (recently) and had problems? All the reviews I have found have been glowing but they're really messing me about at the moment (and apparently closed for the next week as well) so wondered if I wasn't alone after all? Chris

Novatech are watching you! by John Perry
Since 1993, I can trace at least 67 invoices from Novatech and I have spent far too much money with them, or my wife would think so if she knew! Purpose of post is that I made a comment in this group that Novatech had forgotten to repay me my £10 + VAT. Guess what, today I had a phone call from...

Ebuyers (RMA) service just gets better by PL
Luckily I've not had that much need to return items to ebuyer, anyway. But I've just received their response to an RMA request, which simply put, says they'll ship out a replacement with no need to return the old item. For sure, it's a low cost item (£15) but what a first class service.

RMA for Samsung drives? by ComPCs
I've contacted Samsung regarding returning a faulty SATA drive, and they told me to call 0208 6050 581, which I did. A woman answered the phone (no company introduction, just a "hello") and when I explained what I had, she said to send an email to I did a WHOIS lookup, and have...

Comet by Ros Fisk
hi, fell for the marketing trick and purchased a PC from Comet. Once home and fired up it clearly had a hardware fault. I might have been in the industry years but that counts for nothing, they have to have one of their 16 year old know it alls look at it, who of course does not work...

Tekheads by steve
Ordered two hard drives, received only one. Wrapped in a small amount of bubble wrap not evenly wrapped either the corners and sides are exposed. Even if it works it will be potentially damaged. Stuffed in a 205x254mm jiffy bag (the was a 3.5 inch drive) Be warned
