Looking for comments on 2 printers Inside Please by zakezuke
The Canon is cheaper to operate (text) by almost half but I don`t know the size of the tanks. Canon is a very good deal even though you can shell out $30 for a very high yield black cart on the HP. The drawback is you have to open the cover almost twice as often. A pair of blacks will run...

Cnet Print Longevity by measekite
If print longevity preoccupies you, you should probably buy the name-brand inks and papers recommended by your printer maker, despite the sticker shock. Each printer is designed with specific inks and papers to chemically interact.

It is almost a no brainer to choose the Canon IP4000. However, in your case, one of the HP printers may be a better choice because of the infrequency of your printing. The HP integrates the printhead and ink tank so if it did clog due to non use all you need to do is get a new cartridge. Buddy...

Customer has an HP 1300 Laserjet and intends to use USB. Many attempts to make it work failed - apparently affecting the setup of the DOT port. lexmark x63 problems by [email protected]
I haven't been able to use my printer for a couple days now. I've tried to reinstall it, one through the lexmark way and another through the microsoft way. Both installation processes both fail: through the lexmark way, it asks to start up the spooler service but it ends up failing. I'm unable to...

i950 print head by no one
I've lost one color and also lost segments for other colors. A new print head costs $80 or so. I've read that these Canon print heads don't last long. Is this printer worth this expense or is there a newer printer that gives better results? If so, which one? I've never used refill or off brand...

I have a 5 yr. old Dell, with just two USB ports, running Win ME, with both ports currently in use. My low-end 5 yr. old Canon printer uses one of them. I have a new Canon photo printer I want to replace it with using that same USB port. Since we are talking about two separate models, and the Canon...

Maybe this question has been answered before and someone can point me to a thread or FAQ or something: Is it practical to try to refill Hp ink carts? Does it work? Are they reliable? Do they produce output as good ad OEM carts? Regards, Andy
