Aria RMA's - pathetic by
Michael Rodgers
It's been almost a month now since I sent back my Shuttle. I don't want
anything fancy - no refunds, no alternative products, just another model,
exactly the same, to replace the one thats been faulty since arrival.
Clearly this is too much for them.
Does anyone know if this a situation where my...

Are Computer Fairs all crap? by
Alec
For the first time in 10 years I've gone to a computer fair at a local
hotel. Had to pay £2.50 just to get in. I was pretty underwhelmed by what I
saw.
Stalls selling copied software (illegal surely?), secondhand parts wrenched
from old PCs and Macs, under-spec PCs with flashing coloured lights...

Saitek gamepads from uk computer vendors... by
Lee J. Moore
Pricewatch turns up so /few/ companies. Dabs alone stock the Saitek P2500
for £18-ish...but I don't want to order from Dabs. I visited Komplett to
find the P3000 seriously overpriced at £40 (it's only £30 at PCWorld and
Amazon) and that's without the P&P. But I'm not interested in a P3000
anyway...

Laptops Direct + Missing Pixels by
tonythedoc
I have just purchased a Sony Vaio A117S widescreen laptop from Laptops
Direct in Huddersfield. They offer something few other companies
appear to provide - a predelivery inspection service. Superb idea -
they checked my Sony for missing pixels and loaded all the latest
Windows security patches. Its...

USB2 Hard Drive Caddy by
AMO
I am thinking of buying the following hard drive:
http://uk.aldi.com/
Go to Internal Hard Drive Drive to get a Western Digital 250Mb hard drive
for £79.99. This seems to be a good deal.
I am looking for a case to support this drive. I don't actually know the
exact term for this. Is it a caddy?...

PCWorld shock horror by
[email protected]
After some weeks looking around for a USB PCI card with some internal
connectors, and finding no budget kit in stock at the usual suspects,
I decided to look at PCWorld's site. (I'd site an ad for a sale.)
PCWorld has an offshoot that sells components. There, I found not just
one option, but two,...

Never buy from PC World by
Adam
Hi Everyone
I thought I should warn about the total lack of respect for customers'
statutory rights that seems to exist at PC World. I bought a KVM switch from
them a few weeks ago, and it worked fine at first, so I didn't bother
keeping the receipt. However, earlier today, it stopped working, so...

TV Cards - Did you know? by
Fishman
Did you know that it is illegal for a dealer to supply a TV card and not
record the buyers name and address and then pass this information on to the
TV Licencing authority within 28 days?
Similiar applies if as a dealer, you sell a PC with a TV card installed -
new or secondhand.
Information...

Has anyone else ordered from these guys? I ordered some software from them

cancelled. Early on Thursday evening I emailled them the number, and was
told the order would be progressed, and I should have it within 3 days. Now,

RobD of Aria is a Star :))) by

Let me start by explaining some of the situation (all of it would take even
longer then this is going to already :D)
I had a Arianet 2277 DVD Player that developed a fault after over 11 months
of owning it (The LCD packed up) I wasnt sure if I could RMA it so I
contacted Robert.
