OC + Temperature limits for Barton? by
David Simmons
Hey all,
Perhaps I need to rephrase my question. I'm interested in overclocking my
Barton above 1.93 Ghz. CPUCool sez I'm running between 42 and 45 degrees
currently. I tried to Google some temperature ranges but couldn't find
anything.
Are there some good websites that offer...

changing a setting in the BIOS/CMOS screens.

Overclocking 64 3200+ by
Rich Lowe
Hey all,
I've got my new computer up and running and am now putting efforts
into overclocking it but I'm getting less than expected and mixed
results. I am using an AMD 64 3200+ on an MSI K8N Neo Platinum with
2x512MB Crucial Ballistix PC3200. My dumb ass didn't buy a floppy
drive so I can't...

does anyone now anything about pelitizers? by
peppythegimp
Ive heard you can use a pelitizer and a good heatsink to overclock.
Don't like the thought of using water cooling. Thought about
Promitha or vapor cill that uses a compressor to chill the processor
down. Seen a P4 overclocked a gig online. 3.2ghtz all the way to
4ghtz

Have I got a dud Silent Boost? by
Pike
I've just installed a new Silent Boost Heatsink onto my new Athlon 64
3000 on an Asus KV8 Deluxe motherboard.
I was not impressed with the sound initially, and so decided to power
up the HS fan that came with the CPU just to see what the difference
was.
It turns out that my Silent Boost is louder...

Looking for cpu temperature guidelines by
David Simmons
Hey all,
CPUCool sez my Athlon 2600+ Barton Model 10 runs between 42 and 45 degrees
Fahrenheit. A couple websites I found list the Critical Temperature as 85
degrees, so I'm assuming I'd want to set the Over Shut Down Temperature at
least 10 to 15 degrees below that? I want to try upping the FSB...

GFX card cooling by
Gareth Tuckwell
I am trying to quieten my PC. Next thing on my list is the PSU and graphics
card. I have a Radeon 8500 and the heatsink is glued on, so I have no
mounting holes next to the chip, so cannot consider a heatpipe option.
- Has anyone tried the Zalman ZM17CU on a Radeon 8500?
Does it need a fan?...

Athlon XP 2500, cooling by

Athlon XP-M 2500+ (system clock 133.90 x 14.0), SiS740 chipset,
512 MB RAM, Windows XP SP1.
The problem is, it shuts down by itself quite often when cpu
temperature rises.
Windows' built-in HLT cooling does not work for Athlon, so...
