I want to replace the stock intel CPU cooler on the 9450 Quad.

When I allow my A7N8X-deluxe computer running XP home SP2, to hibernate
(with no programs running) after whatever time period I have set in the
hibernate settings, I can bring it out of hibernation by just hitting
the 'enter' key (USB keyboard).
However, if I force hibernation by hitting...

fans turn on then off by
titani
Hello,
I built the PC myself, yet it does not boot. When I press the Power
On switch, the fans turn on for about a second, then they turn off
automatically. I checked the standoffs. I remove the motherboard
from the case. I disconnected all drives, and the video card. I
removed the CPU then...

I took apart my computer to try out a new modular power supply. I
attached all the wires and turned it on and I now hear a high pitch
constant tone from the internal speaker on the motherboard and the
computer won't boot. I have put back in the old power supply and I
still get the constant tone...

CPU too hot on boot up by
[email protected]
I have a quad core (9450) on a P5E3. PC Probe shows a big spike on
the CPU temp after booting up. It's drops pretty quickly though. Stll
it's booting up around 70 degrees centigrade and then drops down to
about 30 just idling. Not sure why it runs so hot.

How to diagnose a dead PS? by

I have what I think is a dead power supply. There are no lights or any sign
of activity anymore. Normally there is a ASUS P5E MB LED on even when the
PS if off. No response to the power button at all. Completely inert. No
fans, no lights, no nothing.
To make sure it's the PS, is there a...

Resonance poll: Does your computer resonate ? by
Skybuck Flying[_2_]
Hello,
I wonder which setup is best to prevent a computer from resonating.
1. My theory is that "top down" coolers, which blow directly against the
motherboard might cause resonance.
The cooler is trying to blast away like a space ship in space... but the
motherboard is keeping it...

Upgrade an existing motherboard
