Jon D
AIUI an online vendor in the UK must put his address on the website.
However I have been looking at http://www.ladigital.co.uk/acatalog/
and I can not see any contact details apart from a non-geographic
phone number.
Can anyone tell me which regulation requires an online trader to

Daz W
I ordered 2X 512MB of DDR memory from Lex Computers about 12PM Monday night,
after seeing some of the replies Chris had made through uk.adverts.computer.
It turned
out that they only had one left in stock at that time. I received an email
and a
text message first thing the following morning...

Anyone heard of, or used, this company who sell a lot on Ebay and get good
ratings but I'd still appreciate your collective wisdom.

I ordered a Canon Scanner from Misco on the morning of Friday 6th May.
I paid for 3 day delivery. The "Your order has been despatched" email
arrived an hour later.
On Monday morning, the Amtrak driver handed me a Canon Printer.
I called Misco on their Freephone Order Line (0800 038 8880)...

OT- Faulty goods/warranty claim by
David Harvey
sorry for the off topic, but I know many on here are aware of consumer laws.
About 6 weeks ago we purchased a combined dvd/video from comet(nearest store
130 miles from here).
For the first few weeks we only used the dvd, which worked fine, then upon
trying the video part we discovered it was...

6800GT's by
Michael Rodgers
Hi all,
Trying to buy a GeForce 6800GT but doing so at a reasonable price is
prooving difficult.
Dabs have 3 cards that I wouldnt mind, all at about £270. But no stock dates
listed and no way of calling them to find out.
Everywhere else wants £300+ for the cards, except bizarrely PC World who...

Good Service - myshuttle.co.uk by
Treeherder
Credit where it's due, I've just received my Zen from www.myshuttle.co.uk
and I'm overjoyed with it, and with the service I've received from them.
They've taken the time to promptly and politely answer all my queries, even
during the Easter weekend. The icing on the cake for me...

Placed an order with Tekheads on 25 April, received the order on 29th April,
just got an email today (dated 27 April) telling me they have dispatched the
order and it will be with me next working day.
I assume this is an NTL email problem not Tekheads.

Source for 5900 Geforce? by
Martin Francis
Until recently Dabs had some £140 Aopen Geforce 5900s (not XT or Ultra)
cards in. The closest i've found now is a Gainward card from Savastore, who
apparently are less than reputable. Anyone recommend a good source for an
inexpensive 5900? Preferably £160 or less?
TIA
