Dadio
Oh dear....
I have used Microwarehouse quite regularly and they have been excellent.
Next day delivery always arrived next day, even when the order was placed
quite late. They also answered the phone promptly and were very helpful.
Yesterday I placed an order with them as usual and received...

Shuttle motherboards. by
Jim Howes
I have a dead shuttle XPC; the motherboard (FX41) has failed.
Nobody seems to sell just the motherboards, only a whole new box (and
considering the PSU's they use cost around £50, and the whole thing
about £103, I'd rather not bin the whole box if I can just change the board.
Anyone sell...

WD drive warranties by
Dr Bombcrater
Bought a 160GB PATA Western Digital drive (WD1600JB) from Misco this week.
Their site lists this drive as being covered by a 3-year warranty, but WD's
warranty checker says it's actually a 2-year warranty.
Has anyone who's bought one of these lately checked the warranty? I'd love
to know if Misco...

Snowdon Computers - Warning! by
John Blundell
In article , Blackthorn
writes
Snowdon Computers have a stirling reputation.
I thought he was Welsh?
As I recall Stirling is cold and hilly. I could see how that reputation
might apply to Wales.

Dabs wish list. by
John Hardaker
I have taken to using the Dabs wish list for items I have an interest in as
it saves having to look for them again. However it has stopped working and
has been out of action for some days now. Is it them or me I wonder? Has
anybody else, who uses the wish list function, found it is not going? As...

Am I dreaming or is it possible to get this? by
AK
Hi
My elderly mother (78yrs old) has been having computer lessons. She is keen
to buy a second hand (i.e. cheap) computer to connect up to the internet.
Is there any recommended suppliers of refurbished machines online? She
doesn't want to pay a lot as she doesn't want to waste money if she...

Overclockers.uk - shower of ******s by
Grimly Curmudgeon
I sent a sterling bank draft nearly three weeks ago and have just
received an email in response to my enquiry as to why the goods were
taking so long to arrive.
They informed me they still hadn't cleared the cheque.
What a bunch of utterly incompetent arseholes.

Ebuyer comments by
John Perry
I bought a wireless router for a mate, and the router part of it has
packed up. Filled in the enote form late Friday night, and by Monday I
had a reply authorising the return.
Now critics of this post will say, thats the way it ought to work, and
thats true, but I want to put a bit of balance in...

Question on obligations by
Toby Groves
Ok, take this scenario:
1. Need specific product so shop around for the best price
2. Place order with lowest priced vendor
2. Vendor ships "lesser" product with similar name
3. Look around for average price of shipped "lesser" product
4. Come to realisation that vendor has probably confused the...
