Need help picking a new MB by
Tony[_6_]
I've been an Abit user for many years with no difficulties. But my last
board (still in use) was/is the AI7, and I kept track of the problems
reported on Abit after the time of this board (wondering if the company had
hit a turning point for the worse). I'm looking to move up but I'm wondering...

Hi all,
Looking for some suggestions/advice...
Currently got C2Duo E6600 @3GHz in MSI 975X Platinup Powerup mobo, with 2GB

OC on E2160, possible without tuning vcore? by
Fabio Corazza
I've heard this is possible - major doubt is: will it affect stability?
Based on the fact that new Penryn 45nm CPUs will start to have
reasonable pricing around the end of the year (or, though, not before
this summer) for the meantime I've decided to go for a cheap CPU with
good OC...

Is this safe? by
bornfree
I tried an OC which resulted in my DRAM at 463Mhz, which was not
stable
http://i32.tinypic.com/346mgdl.jpg
So now I am at 375Mhz

Does it look ok?
I am having a bit of trouble realising what speed my RAM is good for.

Is Speedfan accurate? by
KlausK
According to the latest version of Speedfan, the temp of my Q6600 (G0) is
around 21C and goes up to 25C under load. I'm not sure if the temp is
accurate. Isn't it too low?
I installed the same version on my 2nd PC which has an E6400 and Speedfan
reports 40C when the PC is idling and 50C under...

GA-P35--DS3L how vary fan by CPU case temp? by
Kris[_2_]
Playing with the little 1.6g until tomorrow, but noticing that EasyTune
does a right fine job of varying the cpu fan speed per the "cpu" temp which
is Winbond IT8718F temp2 per spedfan 4.33final. cputemp/casetemp is 56C
per "coretemp 0.96" (Freezer7). I do wish I could vary it per the cpu...

FSB Mem Ratio & Stability by
KlausK
My system: Q6600, Intel D975XBX2 (Bad Axe 2) board & Ballistix DDR2 800
memory.
In the BIOS, the memory operating frequency is 800MHz (default). So, the FSB
mem ratio is 2:3, right? I've read somewhere that the 1:1 ratio gives the
highest degree of stability. Maybe, am I incorrect? I'm curious...

Safe or not? by
(s)AINT
I have an AMD 64 LE-1620 2.4GHz Processor, and it's my first time
messing around with over clocking. I played around with the FSB and
voltage a little bit, and was able to get my system to stay stable at
3.01GHz using a FSB of 250x12, and 1.375 volts. The problem is that
when I stress test it, it...
