Temperatur: Athlon 64 3000+ by
Cord-Heinrich Pahlmann
Hi, I have overclocked my cpu from 1800MHz to 2340MHz (9x260MHz). While
encoding a video the temperature goes up to 61°C. When idle it is around
45°C. My question is if the 61°C is to high for the CPU???
I'm using a Zalman 7700 AlCu Cooler with goes around 1700RPM when the cpu
is working with...

How would you burn up a laptop with no evidence of sabotage by
Brooks
Im not saying it is right, but lets say you had bought one of those
expensive warranties from a retailer. Now two years later you wanted
to cook you machine and get a new one. Is it possible, and how would
you do it? Just hypothetical, not going to do it.

Supermicro X5DAE & 800MHz Xeons? by
[email protected]
Hello,
I'm running a pair of 2.4GHz (533 FSB) Xeons in a X5DAE board quite

L2) processors for next to nothing - I wonder if it's worth it though.
I should be able to plug the CPUs in, but if the new ones are locked to
a 4x...

Mobile desktops? by
Veritech
I've been hear and seeing alot of folks putting amd mobile processors in
their desktop systems. Common sense tells me that its cause they run cooler
and use less power then their stationary counterparts. But are there any
other advantages to this method.
Thanks

Relatively quiet 80mm high-CFM fan? by

I've had it with the noise of my Thermaltake Volcano - I'm going to
pick up one of these:

Can anyone recommend a high-flow but relatively quiet 80mm fan to go
with it?
TIA,
