Games Upgrade by
Robin Gordon
Which is the best upgrade;
Ati x850XT PE - Nvidia 8800 GTS or GTX
or
Opteron 144 - X2 4400+
Ram is 2 Gig on a Vista 64 based System.
PCWorld are doing the 4400+ for 90GBP which is pretty good I think.
What are your opinions?

Website that shows pinmods for overclocing XP 2500? by

I used to have a website that had an applet on it that would show you
exactly how to modify the pins to set the multiplier or the FSB for
any AMD processor. Of course i had this site bookmarked when i didn't
need it. I just upgraded to a locked XP2500 and now i really need
that info again.

XP2600 333fsb or XP3000 400fsb by
Claus Christensen
Hi.
I can buy a XP3000 400fsb for about $150, but a XP2600 333fsb for about $80.
In this case, is it possible to OC the XP2600 to match the XP3000 400mhz
speed and thereby save about $75??? Both CPU are 2.1ghz.
Thank you for your time.

Super pi mod 1.4. by
Al Brumski
Hi All,
Could someone post super pi mod 1.4.
A group is comparing results and they've chosen mod 1.4 to use as bm.
I've got 1.5, I don't think there's a big difference, but they want us
to post a screen cap to verify. I suppose I could get creative with PS
pro, but that wouldn't be honest!!!

I was totally confused looking at the AMD model line for 32 bit the

Of course the famous amd rating system is confusing to me at least.
Does anyone know a site that has ratings for the best bang for the
buck amd 32 bit...

Quietly cooling my Athlon on an A7V266 by
Allie
Hi Folks,
My Athlon Thunderbird socket A is running at around 1GHz on an
A7V266. I'd like to get a new heatsink and quiet cpu fan for it (the
old one is gummed up and noisy as hell). Anyone have any
suggestions? Don't want to spend a mint, of course. Thanks a ton.
Best,
Allie
