Question about USB by
Buzz Hodges
I have a circa 1998 PB with one USB port. I'm guessing that it is
USB 1.1 I'd like to buy one of those tiny plug-in 64 MB memory
drives. The ad says it is USB 2.0 Will it work with my USB on my PB?
Thanks.

range of Packard Bell I-Media PC's, however I cannot find these *recent*
models on any PB website, and their websites I have looked at seem to have
not been updated in a few years. Sites looked at are both the NZ...

My friend has a PB Legend 3540 with win 95 and it will not boot up.
How do we get it to boot into safe mode?
There is no windows start-up disk I have access to a Compaq pc that also has

Thanks...

EDO RAM possible for PB 520R? by
Hans-Juergen Bardenhagen
Hi,
I have read different stories on the net if it's possible to use 72pin
EDO-RAM on a Packard Bell 520R mainboard. Has anyone actually tried it
and can confirm that it works? I have 2x16 MB of these in my old PC-
Chips board that I would like to add to the slightly newer PB board. If
it doesn't...

Hi Gang !
Well, I was fiddling around with some computer stuff today, and spotted my

done anything with it since receiving it a couple of months ago, and had
forgotten that it didn't have a HDD in it. So when I plugged...

Noisy Variable Fan by
Albert
I am not very technically minded, but would appreciated some advice.
I have a Packard Bell Ixtreme Gold MC 1904 which is running OK, but I have a
slight concern with it.
There is a fan inside the box which, as I would expect, runs continuously.
What concerns me is that the fan speed varies...

Today, I was the proud recipient of a Legend 402CD in apparently good
condition, even with the original sticker on the top of the case telling
the specs. It is the usual square desktop chassis of the era.
Assumiong that this beauty is all original, it has a 75MHz Pentium
