939 Motherboards with ECC by
General Schvantzkoph
Do any of the 939 pin motherboards support ECC?. The 939 pin A64 supports
ECC but none of the motherboards seem to mention it and the Crucial site
says no ECC for the MSI and Gigabyte boards. I don't see why they would
have left an important feature like ECC off since it's essentially free.
Is...

939 motherboards without fans by
Keith S.
I'm looking to build a high performance, but quiet PC.
Are there any socket 939 motherboards, with PCI-E video slot (not AGP) that
are only passively cooled chipsets.
I've read that the active cooling mobo chipset fans on some boards are loud.
Thanks for your replies in advance!

05/26/04 - DDR 2 and Socket 900 for Q2 2005
Some good Asian friends send us words about AMD plans regarding DDR 2 and it
could come out much sooner than expected. According to well informed OEM
sources, AMD is already testing a 90nm SOI DDR2 version on socket 900 code
named Toledo which will be...

939Dual-Sata & Linux: sensors.conf by
Brian Hall
I am using Linux kernel 2.6.15 and lm_sensors 2.10.0 on an
Asrock 939Dual-Sata2 with an Opteron 165. I have Cool & Quiet
enabled, plus a kernel patch to allow me to lower the idle
voltage to 1.0V (165 only has 2 C&Q states).
My question is, has anyone done any better calibration of
sensors.conf...

Hello everyone:
In my new HP laptop (zv5410us) w/GeForce 4, 440 Go video card (64mb

A question from a total neophyte by

I fell in love with the AMD chip when I bought my current machine 5+ years
ago. I went over the counter, Compaq, paid through the nose (insurance
settlement) and was very happy for 3 and a half years. around 2 years ago I
started having problems with my beloved machine, and while it still allows

A'64 3700+ by

Ahh...just a super quick (and probably silly) question...I was going to buy
a 3000+, but suddenly the CPUs at my parts dealer have gone down in
price...I was going to get a 3500+ instead, I've heard it's a good CPU, but
I can now easily afford a 3700+. I can't seem to find much info on...
