I heard the other day that the AMD 2500+ now and have been coming out of the fractory locked. What I want to know is, are the locked versions still allowing 3200+ speeds by just changing the FSB to 200Mhz instead of 166Mhz. Thanks!

bought mobile 2500+ cpu and asus a7n8x-x motherboard, and samsung 512mb ddr pc400 ram and the board alreayd has lates bios as well so i boot it up and its at 600mhz or 800mhz don't remember so i went into bios and manually set it to 133x14 since its a 1833mhz so 14x133 =1862 so it should boot up...

I use A7V8X-X motherboard and Barton 2500+, when I change the multiplier in bios it was successful(11 - 13), but after using sisoft sandra to check, the clock speed is still 1833 Mhz. Does it mean the CPU multiplier is locked?
