Memtest86 help by obiwanzamora
Hi, I don't know if anyone is familiar with memtest86 but i have been running it on some memory i have aquired, trying to determine if it is faulty or not. The test has reported two errors. Is it normal for there to be a couple of errors or should it be totally error free? Thanks

Memtest86+ 2.1 on SDRAM PC133 by Bleimor
Hi, I've just bought new RAM (SDRAM PC 133) on a web site. I've made a test with Memtest86+ 2.1 using a bootable CD and after 30 minutes (4 pass), there's just one error. What do you think about it ? Best regards.

memtest86+ 5.01 reported RAM speed not credible by [email protected]
I was given an old HP Proliant server to fix. It only had a flat CMOS battery. So I run memtest86+ and it says the memory is DDR3-4123! This is a Nehalem EP generation, and only an E5506, which supported 800 speed with ECC. Also says CAS 19, which you would get with DDR4-4000 RAM.

memtest86+ errors by [email protected]
I was just stress testing a core 2 quad computer with 4 GB of ram at the default frequencies. I am going to use this computer for fairly high precision scientific calculations. I just ran memtest86+ overnight, and it produced 2 errors. How stable is this computer? Can someone point me to...

Memtest86+ is always right? So it must be a software problem by RayLopez99
On rare occasions, using a pirate version of Windows I got for $5 but am too lazy to change, I get a BSOD. The other day, while using Google Chrome on Youtube, I got such a problem. I think it's software related (I got rid of Google Updater and Google Chrome Frame, which I think are unstable, and...

Memtest86+ issue by TVeblen
I downloaded Memtest86+ v3.5. Test ran it on 2 PCs (a PII and a P4). Ran great - found no errors. I just finished assembling a Core i7 rig and ran v3.5 and the prog freezes 4 seconds in, 7% on the first test. Every time. I just downloaded v3.4 and it is chugging away on the i7 right now - no...

memtest86, how many passes? by John Doe
In ordinary circumstances, normally, how many memtest86 passes before you consider memory okay? I got 16 passes okay before one error. So I disabled overclocking and reduced memory timing to 2T, and it ran for 20 passes with no errors. I'm sure it would be a wild guess, but should I expect...

Mercury PVT800X-L Motherboard - Memory Problem by Pete Baston
Hi, I've been having a memory problem with a Mercury PVT800X-L motherboard, and wondered if anybody else has seen similar problems ? First of all I tried to use a 333Mhz DDR module - which should be supported according to the manual. The system would boot OK if the CMOS was cleared, but would not...

I just bought a Plextor PX-712A IDE dvd burner. The hardware it is on is an Asus A7V333 motherboard with 768MB ram on XP SP2. The drive is the master on the secondary IDE controller. I previously had a Creative dvd-rom on there and it worked fine. Windows can see the new drive. I took out the...

MEW-AM motherboard usb pinout by Some One
I have a motherboard from an HP XL-761. The board has MEW-AM stenciled in big letters between two of the PCI slots so I believe this is an Asus MEW- AM board. The board matches the one shown in the Asus manual for the most part, the floppy and IDE headers are positioned differently. There...
