Screen width & postion by
Godzilla
Today, I updated my system running openSUSE 10.3 to a new GeForce 8500 GT
card. I downloaded and installed the latest driver from the NVidia website.
All went well, except at the end of the SAX2 routine, when one tests the
settings the position and width controls have no effect. My screen
remains...

VSync over 60hz? by
Poochie©
Hi all,
I recently got a 6600 GT (Asus) and I always use VSync on. My 19" CRT
supports 1600x1200@75hz, but with the setting on I can never see the
games going at 75 or anything above 60. How do I force them to use 75
as the maximum frame limit? I tried locking the refresh rates in
Multires, but...

GE Force 6200 Hardware Connection by
Edward Diener No Spam
I have just bought a GE Force 6200 vide card. There are three
connections on the back, a round 9-pin, a 15-pin D-sub, and a DVI-D
Signal. My monitor has connections to a 15-pin D-sub and a DVI-D signal.
Am I not correct that the DVI-D signal is the right connection to make,
and that one does not...

Leadtek or Gainward? by
DC
I'm currently trying to obtain a Leadtek 7800GT Extreme edition, and they're
proving hard to find (it would appear Leadtek have stopped making them/
shipping them to Australia).
However, I have been able to find a Gainward 7800GT Golden Sample video
card, but to be honest I don't think I've heard...

confirmed: PS3's RSX has only 8 pixel-pipelines (ROPs) by
Spaceman
According to many developers you would be wrong.
Quite a few Xbox360 games aren't even running in 720p regardless of the
fillrate.
Wrong. Only one game runs any less than 720p, and it's highly praised as
being such a beautiful game regardless.
Wrong again.
The internal memory bandwidth...

Decided on 6800 GT by
Brenden D. Chase
I've decided on a 6800 GT card, more specifically the BFG branded GT. Does
anyone know of another brand card that is comparable to this one on a
performance level, again in GT form and function?? Or at least a site that
pits all GT cards against each other?? The BFG is apparently a popular
card,...

ForceWare 60.85 for 2K and XP available directly from nVidia. by
default
http://download.nvidia.com/Windows/Quadro_Certified/60.85/60.85_win2kxp.exe
Supports nearly all of the nVidia cards. NV4 (TNT1) support is missing in
the .inf file, but it is easy to add the two missing lines back in, then all
cards are supported.

GeForce Stalls During Games by
Jason Aguon
I just switched from a TNT to the GeForce3Ti450. I noticed now that 1 out
of 5 times playing a game (or typically loading) the game program will lock
or get into a stutter stalled loop. It just pauses and goes into some type
of loop.
Is the card? Is there a setting I should use?
system 128K,...

NV30EMUL by

I read somewhere that a utility exists, which is called NV30EMUL and
which is supposed to solve lots of problems with running certain
programs.
It was released by Nvidia itself, but I can't find the download
location on their site.
Does anyone have a link to that program ?

Does the Gigabyte 5950 have VIVO? by
Danny
I'm finding a sense of ambiguity from all the reviews I've seen so far.
According to Gigabyte's UK website there's 3 variants of the 5950 model but
it doesn't seem to explicitly convey which, if any, have video in capture
capacity.
Does anyone know for sure if the Gigabyte 5950 FX has this or...

GeForce 5950 Question by

I just bought the 5950. As I always do I let the machine run for at least
24hrs straight just to make sure everything is working right. The card shuts
down after about 7-9 hours of continuous game usage.
I opened the machine and the card was very hot. I'm operating with a 400w
PSU. Would this be a...

TV-Out with TNT: problems by

I think I need some help from a TV-Out expert. I'm trying to build a

The TNT has VGA, S-Video and Composite output.
The problem is that I get a nice picture until XP initializes the display
driver, then I just get...
