Lorin
I'm looking to upgrade my computer for UNDER $500. The things I'm

want (in order):
1. reliable
2. quiet (not necessarily silent)

I've done some research...

"Feedback" in speakers by
[email protected]
I've never run across anything like this before. It seems as if when
the components inside my pc heat up, I can 'hear' HD activity via my PC
speakers. Almost as if something werent grounded properly. If your
familiar with car audio, it reminds me of what happens when speaker
lines are run too close...

Upgrade for Diamond MM Fire GL1000 pro video card? by
[email protected]
I have an old PII 400 mhz Dell that operates on a small network.
The old Trinitron CRT is going (and probably the Diamond GL 1000 Pro with
it). I want to keep the unit going as it's still functional (but slow).
I'm getting a LCD monitor. What would be a good cheap video card that's an
improvement...

Case fan sizing by
Craig Palme
I'm going to be replacing my case fan. The one I have is too loud. At least
I think so. At times it's annoying other times not so much. What I'm
interested in knowing is the amount of air flow, cfm, should I look for as a
minimum. Is there some general rule of thumb other than the max you can...
