HP 30/FC support resources by
Secessionist
We have 2 x HP 30/FC chassis.
The units run PROM code 0173.
The controllers run the Clariion Flare OS. It is my understanding that
version 9.56.03 Flare Code adds support for 36G drives in the array.
Couple of questions:
i) Does anyone know a source for 36G disks with 9.56.03 Flare Code?

Is flash memory (like in SD,CF,SMC,etc. cards) magnetic?
How close to a magnetic source would it have to get to be damaged. This
hasn't happened to me yet personally, but what if it's laying on the floor
and somebody vacuums right next to it. That'd be a 10 amp motor right
next to it. What about...

sergio
Hi,
i'm gonna buy a new tape 'cause the dlt 40/80 i'm using now is not enough
any more and i have to choose between sdlt and lto2.
Simply looking at the specs i'd go with lto2, but i'd like to know if
there are people that used both standards who can post their impressions.
Looking at lto2 drives...

Hi all,
Is anyone aware of studies that have been done to measure the
performance overheads that result from using a filesystem? We want to
know the performance loss that we would suffer using a filesystem like
FAT16 on a ramdisk versus using the memory as it is (raw reads and
writes to memory,...
